BEACH CAMPING ON CAT ISLAND MISSISSIPPI OVER NIGHT (SOCIAL DISTANCING ON BARRIER ISLAND)

Spring Time Beach Camping On Cat Island
Day1: Launch Out Of Pass Christian Harbor And Made Our Way To Cat Island Where We Found Our Spot For The Night! We Began By Setting Up Our Tent So We Had Time To Do A Little Evening Fishing And Preparing Our Fire In Time To Take In The Beautiful Sunset!
After Enjoying The Fire And Sunset Along With A Brief Visit Of A Raccoon We Called It A Night And Settled Into Our Tent. The Forecast Called For No Rain So We Slept Without The Rainfly Which Allowed Us To Enjoy The Amazing Gulf Breeze. The Clear Sky Also Allowed Us Also Provided Us A Beautiful View Of The Stars And Moon.
Day2: Started The Day With A Beautiful Sunrise And To Our Surprise A Very Low Tide Which Left Our Boat In Four Inches Of Water. It Was All Good Because We Were On Island Time. We Spent The Next Couple Of Hours Enjoying Our Drift Wood Fire On The Beach And Doing A Little Wade Fishing While Waiting For The Tide To Rise. By 10AM We Were Floating High, Gathered Our Belongings "Left No Trace" And We Were Off To Pickup Our Mom And Little Sister. We Spent The Next Couple Of Hours Enjoying The Beach At The Northern Tip Of the Island Where We Were Protected From The Strong South Winds That Afternoon.
This Was Our First Trip To Cat Island And We Cannot Wait To Explore More Of The Island And Its Unique Ecosystem.
