As a brazilian, i gotta say: whoever's the composer - or composers - for this game knows their shit and did their research. This theme is fucking amazing. They managed to make something that is not the corny, cheeky, preconceived notion of what Brazil sounds that people and Capcom itself seemingly had back in the 90s, giving it a much more modern and fitting sound. I take my hat off and applaud whoever's responsible for this theme.

For the first time ever, a company managed to make music that represents a character that lives in Brazil without sounding goofy or completely cut-off of the stuff we listen to here. This mixes carioca funk with hip-hop so freaking well!
Props to whoever wrote this piece. You managed to hit a nail that lots of others missed in ugly fashion.

@@Sholver You want to know the truth: the genre of "funk" that my country created is not as unique as you think.
Lately, my country's "funk" has been used in songs that are dirty, songs that you wouldn't want to let your child listen to, lest he become society's trash.
I say this because it makes me feel disappointed in my nationality.
But this theme that Capcom created, it makes use of funk rhythm in a good way, and it really took the best of Brazilian funk and did it in a way that makes me really smile and be proud for being me.
If one day you want to hear Funks from my country, it's your decision, but I wouldn't recommend it.
@@Sholver One artist from France called Stromae made a song called Fils de joie that is basically Brazilian-French-Funk and it's super good lol. But this blanka ost not only has funk but also pagode, samba and capoeira beats.
Probably the best balance of being fresh and new while still capturing the classic essence of the character.
Hearing this just makes me more excited for Dee Jay's theme..

I think SFV is hit and miss because a lot of people with different tastes were employed to do the music. Bison theme I think is the worst in that game and F.A.N.G's.

God, blanka and dhalsim have had remixes of their old stupid sf2 songs for years now and FINALLY, not only they give them songs accurate to there cultures, but they also happen to be total bangers. This is why we innovate people.
I genuinely think sf6's themes for those two should be defaults from now, they fit their current personalities so much better than any sf2 remix ever did imo

As a Brazilian, I feel extremelly well represented and pround of this theme. CAPCOM did such an AMAZING job composing this, I dare say that if this is played at a brazillian party, no one would even think that this was composed outside of Brazil, even less that it is for a fighting game.
