Many thanks for sharing this, never thought I would live to see a Pacific Locomotive on the KESR, a line built originally as a light railway. The heaviest locos in the past were probably the Dean Goods used during the second world war by the WD. There was a loco deemed too heavy when the line was extended to Headcorn, that was Hecate, an 0-8--0 tank engine used very little and only between Tenderden and Headcorn, not the original Rother valley, which was laid too light for anything other than small tank engines. Still, shows how the KESR has been upgraded for heavier traffic by renewing the bridges over the years.
