Food with Friends from Italy - Ding Cooks Ep.42. Chocolate Salami with Beatrice.

    This week we are off to Italy. I was there many years ago and really want to go back again. Beatrice has been here in for a few years now, we met one night dancing and have been friends ever since. So please sit back and enjoy Chocolate Salami / Salame.
    Ingredients:
    200g dark chocolate
    2 medium eggs
    250g biscuits
    3 teaspoons coco powder
    150g of butter
    70g powdered sugar
    30ml of liquor
    Directions:
    Ensure butter is room temperature and cut into pieces.
    In a large bowl add the sugar and the butter and combine with a fork.
    Over a double boiler, melt your chocolate.
    Once melted add to the sugar and butter mixture. Stir to combine.
    Add in your eggs, one at a time and mix.
    In a bag, crush your biscuits but ensure some large pieces are left.
    Add into the bowl with your coco powder and liquor.
    Once full combined, place on baking paper and roll up.
    Add a layer of cling film to hold the shape better.
    Place in the fridge and chill for a minimum of 3 hours.
    Take out of the fridge, remove from the paper and slice.
    EAT.
    It's good for up to four days.
