Hi Emily Rose, I recently discovered your videos and I am amazed at your talent. I am looking forward to trying your techniques with Pastelmat. I mostly work on Hahnemuhle velour board for animals. Have you tried that board? Also, are you on Patreon? Thank you for sharing your talent with these videos!! Kim

Hi Kim! I'm actually planning a big paper review for next year, so will be reviewing velour in that :) I have a Gumroad at the moment, but a brand new site coming out next year with detailed classes!

Hi Emily, great content and beautiful job on this. Do you work flat with pastels?, just asking because I prefer to work like that but was always told to have the piece upright when using pastels to let the dust fall off, but if it doesn't make a big difference I'd definitely work flat, I find it more comfortable.

Hi Steve, to be fair I work vertically when I’m just drawing and not filing as it’s better for my back etc and the dust is easier to control. However, I would say there is not hard working flat, you just need to keep your work space clean and crystal paper to hand!
