Gotta love Eleanor Roosevelt disregarding protocol to steer Queen Elizabeth into the right place. Greatest FLOTUS we've ever had.
THE HALLMARK OF THIS VIDEO CLIP WAS THE MANIFESTATION OF MANNERISM DISPLAYED TOWARDS THE BRITISH AND THE QUEEN. ENJOYED EVERY BIT OF IT. THANKS VERY MUCH.
the eve of War
This trip was very important to strengthen the Anglo American ties just before WW2 began. People forget that many Americans were actually in favor of Nazi Germany in America before the war
Quite a lot of British people were as well Churchill was considered a warmonger and an extremist for some time for speaking out against the Nazis and Hitler as early as he did.
@Sutty Churchill had his number early on not many others in the world did if only they'd read Mein Kampf what he said in there was more or less what he did.

a beautiful visit in 1939
of the king of England to america
The purpose of this visit was to cement the Anglo-American relationship in the face of imminent war in Europe. This The King and Queen did graciously m gracefully and to good effect . Later , their daughter , The Queen travelled to other countries to encourage them to join the commonwealth and open our front door (without permission) to massive immigration from countries which do not share similar values and the people of the UK ended up paying for the privilege . All to accommodate the Queen who mourned her father , who mourned the loss of Empire post war - and the result is obvious ?
June is my birth month.
Why didnt Mrs Rooseceld curtsy to the queen?
Mrs. R was not a British subject and as the wife of a Head of State her position was relatively equal to the queen.
