Frightening amounts of spin on that forehand! Your timing is really good ive been working on hitting the ball earlier as well it’s so rewarding when properly executed! Good stuff!
Thank you for the kind words! ive been working on the RHS generation and specific body roational elements so its good to hear that it's noticed. Taking the ball early is something I always struggled with as a junior. Seems now in my 30s I have no choice but to work on it. I quite enjoy the feeling of an on the rise forehand now. I saw some of your videos. you generate some solid lefty spin as well. I always struggled with lefties growing up. haha, everything spins the other way!
@@PURETENNISsense thank you! And absolutely! Taking the ball early really makes the game so much more fun. Gives you so many more opportunities to attack and pressure. Striking late gives more comfortable margin of error but you will always be playing from behind! As a baseline grinder learning to strike earlier has been a STRUGGLE!
Yes Sir! I agree! I'm 5'9 and have always had to player grinding/counter-puncher style tennis. Not in my 20s anymore so on-the-rise is looking more convincing haha. Keep up thr good work! Your lefty forehand can be dangerous very soon!
@@PURETENNISsense will do, same to you (minus the lefty part)! If you’re ever in the northern va area would love to hit! I know that’s a bit of a long shot but still 😂
@@EdgeriPlaysTennis For sure! I used to travel to the Mid-Atlantic before for events but that was some years ago. Perhaps our paths will cross. Same to you if you are ever in the Atlanta area!
That is a great question! It honestly depends on the player and how comfortable they are hitting with spin on the FH-DTL. For me personally, I like two options: 1) Higher (more lob like) spinning type of ball with increased rebound. Check: 0:14, 0:36, 1:48 2) Slightly lower (still 6-8' height) more penetrating type of ball. Check: 0:20, 0:52, 1:03, 2:01 These choices will vary on factors such as: 1) Where my body is located in the court when striking this ball. 2) How much torque I can create based on my positioning. 3) Where my opponent is on the court. Hope this answers your question.
It means picture-in-picture. I wrote it in there to show that there would be 2 videos on the screen simultaneously. What donyou think of the PiP? Is it helpful?

awesome my friend the contact point of your forehand is just perfect
Thank you, cheers!
it has been a work in progress for the last 12 months and still evolving.
Is the variety of the height up to the players, or do you tell them to hit certain height shots when switching from CC to DTL?

@@PURETENNISsense Thanks. That supports/explains what I was seeing in the variety of strokes. Cheers.
