I have always thought that it was weird that burning the dead weren’t more common, especially in places where the dead don’t rest so easily like Ustilav. You would think that by the second generation of having to put grandma back in her grave most people would just build a small shrine to there ancestors and be done with the practice.
I figure that's the fastest way to create ghosts. At least zombies and ghouls are corporeal, putting down a haunt is much harder. I do also like to think that the various funerary rites function as a very basic hallow ritual, and that mummification specifically is to prevent the accumulation of negative energy.
I do my best to investigate all my findings personally, so I will admit after an extended vacation within the nation of Geb, and learning the local Lingo, I may be in need of a clerics assistance... But honestly, have you seen the waiting list for the churches latetly? You'd think there was a plague going around again!
I can't not hear Jeb Bush. Given the Osiriani (Egypt) influence on Geb, it would be a hard G like God, not a soft G like Jeb. Love this though, very interesting.
"See here how, Sir Vertigo has started being corrupted by negative enegy after learning the necril language, which is shown by the blatant encouragement for its study despite the dangers."
I like the idea that negative energy is essentially like a drug that alters the mind as well as the body. That being said, I dont like how one sided is. They should show how creatures of positive energy also have an instinctual hatred of the undead.
But, what is better for you: adepts of life magic, who hates "death", or adepts of dark and destructive magic, who hates all of beings? I think this theme can be little one sided.
This was specifically the lore written by Geb (Back when he was still alive to be precise for that section), and is thus biased in favor of undead very heavily.
im just getting into pathfinder really, and find it a shame that this is for 2nd edition. took one look at the magic system and it being basically 5e and noped from considering it, lol
It is, I didn't pronounce it correctly and I'll fix it in my next video! I struggle with pronouncing things I've only ever read and that's one of them unfortunately lol

Maybe it's a stubborn thing? Well, we can't just stop burying our dead, cause then the necromancers win!

Because incorporeal undead are more dangerous? 😅
@@yuven437 At least you can HIT a zombie.
@@Morhek exactly
Thanks!
Thank you for the opportunity to look at it early! It's an amazing read!
@@SirVertigo looks like you made it big
Haven't watched it, will watch it, commenting for algorithm and all of that 😌👌
PRAISE NAGASH... Oh wait wrong Necromancer King...
but still as a Fan of Undead everything! This book is a must buy for me! :D
Gr8 Narration! :D
Book of the Dead: You get to become a playable Lich!
Me: Yes, finally!
Book of the Dead: At level 12...
Me: I don't care, just give me the rules!
I do believe that the lich will get a video very soon. I know it's a huge draw so I'm going to get it out this coming week hopefully!
It looks like your avatar spent some time with the Book of the dead. Great video.

dude great video, can't wait for Part 2
The emphasis for Urgathoa is on the THO syllable, not the GAH syllable. Oor-Gah-THO-Ah
I think I'm going to need to keep you around for pronunciation advice!
Your subs to view after 2 weeks is something to be proud of.
Ok, so here is the starting point to learn Self-tought necromancy right? Let's begin
The full title: "Book of the Dead, Necromancy for Dummies"
Now I'm kinda interest in a Bard that sings in Necrol. Since the words have such power
I can't not hear Jeb Bush. Given the Osiriani (Egypt) influence on Geb, it would be a hard G like God, not a soft G like Jeb. Love this though, very interesting.
Yea, I struggle with pronunciation on names at times, but I've been corrected on Geb so, it will be fixed in the next parts of these videos!
Love seeing pathfinder lore videos! So rare but great to find!
"Pfft... Raise-ist! Leave the dead where they fall so that the company necromancers can come along and put them back to work."

They very well may, perhaps in a positive energy book down the road it will expand on that! Would positive energy users be druids basically?

Good Morning, Sir Vertigo
This is a definite buy
Very cool
There is lore for why undeath is genuinly cataclysmic as a concept for existence but its an extremely long term issue
This was specifically the lore written by Geb (Back when he was still alive to be precise for that section), and is thus biased in favor of undead very heavily.
Great!!
Please tell me Ivory Reaper and Voice of the Spire are Archetypes

I love you dada 😘
sunsticks?
That's what the book calls them, I'm pretty sure it was referring to sun rods though lol
Wait it's pronounced Jeb????
I've always heard Geb with a G as "good" and not as "giraffe"
@@linus4d1 its defintely ''G(ood'') -eb, not our Texas buddy JEB XD
Thank you for the clarification on that, I'll fix it in my part two!
Geb is the gif of Pathfinder. I tend to pronounce it so he doesn’t sound like a Bush
All hail the legendary Necromancer, 'Farmer Jeb!'
I thought it was pronounced "Geb" with a hard "G," not "Jeb."
It is, I didn't pronounce it correctly and I'll fix it in my next video! I struggle with pronouncing things I've only ever read and that's one of them unfortunately lol
I cant take the soft G Geb 😂
So much Geb propaganda! I expected more non-partisan reporting...
The book is written from the perspective of Geb himself.
@@Nyrufa I knew, I just wanted to razz the good Sir. Especially with the shade thrown at Desna, and Nex. :-P
