- Here’s the flight where I commit to flying into the higher mountains for the first time. It was a lot to take on. "How was it then?" you may ask. Well, what are you waiting for? Watch the video!
I’m a beginner pilot with 185 hours in the air, and in these videos I hope to share some insights with people on the similar level to mine. We probably struggle with the same questions, and I hope I can share some answers, and get some advice from you guys in the comments below. I hope you’ll enjoy it! Cheers.

Thank you for sharing Michał, the narrative is super pleasing and the footage amazing!
It almost seems like time stops while watching these videos, that's really the holy grail of video editing and story telling, get the viewer traveling along with us on the journey.
Brilliant!

Your videos are so amazing! I'm a beginner pilot and really enjoy learning from your experiences. Keep going and happy landings!
Beautiful Flight and very informative. Thank you for taking the time to make the video. Fly High FLY Safe. Frank in Ireland
Waw. this was awesome! Please upload more!
Such a huge pleasure is watching your videos. You are setting the rules of how a good paragliding video should be done. Congrats mate
Thanks for super kind words! I'm really glad I can make these videos for you!
Love the commentary.
Brilliant! Will have to try this whenever I manage to get back to Tolmin
Definitely, you will love it!
Very nice, a lot of humility.
Thanks
Thanks a lot!!!
Wow. Awesome flight..sharing at more speed to have us get a full sense of how far you went is brilliant. Very intense looking flight indeed.
Man what a great video and voiceover!
thanks, glad you liked it
Nice flight and great video!
Good decision at 2:11 not to aim at the very beginning of the Polovnik ridge. The lee shouldn't kill you but it's easy to get stuck there - I checked it myself ;-)
You've got an awesome clouodbase height! Over Vogel 3:58 you probably had many landing options, you simply didn't see them because you were so high and your landings were far away. Even with the west wind you should be able to reach Kobala by soaring the west side of the small ridge leading to Kobila Glava.
Flying over such remote areas is intimidating for me as well. Having inReach mini with me reduces my stress a bit as I know that even if I land in a middle of nowhere I'll still be able to communicate with the world.
I initially though you wanted to fly over the snowy massif north of Krn. That would be rad! We have to do it one day! :-D
Hey, thanks Ivo!
It's good to hear you were ok after getting stuck in that Polovnik ridge place. I've heard things about it :) My friend recently jumped to a ridge behind and had not-that-small SIV experience XD
Yeah you're probably very right with the landing options around Vogel. I'm just really not at good at all the slopy landing stuff, thus I need to have bigger error margin. Which I feel slows me down a bit in decissions and flying progression.
How expensive is the subscription to InReach mini? Is it affordable. Yeah in remote places like this it sure helps, would love to have one as well.
Snowy massive north of Krn... yeah there's couple of them. When? :) Adventure time!
Nice, Happy landing!!
awsome , hi from sydney australia . im just learning as well .
hey! thanks for the comment! have fun learning and see you in the sky! :)
Another great video. Thanks!
thanks for watching! cheers
Love your videos. Keep them coming
Thank you sir for the kind words! Glad you like them. I sicerely appreciate you comment. Cheers!
Very nice…!
Beautiful! What about shadows of clouds? They are not ok?
Hey man, great video. Just out of curiosity. When you fly XC and you land in a far-away location, how do you usually return to your vehicle/home?
Hey! Thanks!
Most of the time it's hitchiking or just getting a bus / train. Usually I try to land near towns / villages / main roads, so there's plenty of return options available. It's a bit of a hussle, but at the end - it's a part of the adventure :)
Great video, thank you! Right now, I'm preparing my visit to the Soca valley in August, so it is very helpful, too.
sweet! Hope this little videos will help you a bit. It's fantastic flying out there, have fun, enjoy, and stay safe
Hi, I just got my mountain license, also fly a Tenor and want to upgrade from Wani2 harness to pod. Which pod do you fly and do you recommend it? What glide ratio/rate of descent do you get in still air? I get around 1.3m/s RoD at trim speed, glide ratio about 8.1
Hey. I'm flying Advance Lightness 3, and am perfectly happy with it. It's my first and only pod I flew in, so I honestly don't have any comparison :/ How many hours do you have in total? Upgrading to pod harness shouldn't be something to rush into. I bought my own after 70h in the air.
Good wing choice! Do you fly Light or regular version?
I'd say I have similar experience in RoD and GR on my Tenor Light. It's a great wing to fly, super safe feeling, had 2 SIV on it, and it opens immediately, is almost impossible to initialise atorotation (if you don't know how), absolute pure joy to fly.
Have fun flying! Best of luck
I am so afraid of flying but I also want to fly too much. I have mixed feelings. How can I get over them?
hey. I can just share my little story: I'm deadly scared of heights. I won't stand on a ladder, I get sweaty standing on the roof of a building, dizzy when going up the glass-built elevator and so on. I went to the paragliding course with super-mixed feeling and a lot of fear that I'll be petrified and scared to death in-flight. None of this happened. The feeling is more like being on a plane, where you feel secure because you're inside a vehicle. It's amazing how calm and relaxing paragliding is. So my advice is - just go to the course, take your first solo flight with instructor on the radio (don't do tandem flight, go on your own!) and see how it feels for you. You may be very surprised by the outcome of this little experiment, and you'll have your answer if it's something for you. Good luck on your adventure, have fun!
What glider are you using? I would say the Tenor light.
hey, yup it's my beloved Tenor Light. On sale atm as I moved on to Maestro.
I'm going there in two weeks! 😎✌️🪂
