Best was extremely patient in his attacks. And that reever switch was amazing.
There were a couple of opportunities there where the lurkers were entrenched on the high ground, and it would have been super effective for the Protoss to mind control one of them. With no overlord around, it would completely compromise that position for the Zerg, he would have had to unborrow all and vacate his position

You know what i never understood, why do protoss players go mass archon and NOT build a few shield batteries its such a good use of your minerals for that gas heavy army
yea it's weird how the pros don't build shield batteries, maybe cuz shields regenerate so quickly naturally?
Because shields battery are kinda useless. A) the time needed for set them up for offense takes way too long (pylon, battery and add on top of that the energy regen is not that good). B) most important, they take a lot of space for D (it's better to wall off with a more bulky structure Aka forge/Gateway which You can use to further improve your production).
@@Nighttimeqt1 I totally disagree. Shield Batteries kick ass. I've used them since I started playing in '98. First off, they're only 100 minerals. Secondly, they instantly heal units. Third, say you've got 2 or 3 injured Archons, Carriers, Scouts, Arbiters ECT. All you have to do right click your units on the battery and they will automatically engage tje battery when they get there. 4th, I'll admit they are better against Terran and other Protoss where Protoss is fighting a slower paced game but they certainly don't suck. You just aren't using them properly.
Streamers use them regularly. Check out shin or brain, they both use them offensively when pushing.

Nicely played! i agree that this kind of back and forth keeps you on your toes and keeps you glued on which team will win...
Don't always agree but this was an epic one. Good find. Even when best was wrecking that center base, Soma kept it interesting with flanks and pick offs. Just too far behind in supply to overcome the storm.

Falcon I know you read all comments but in this case I want you to reply to this one...WHAT IF you could merge one high templar and one dark templar, what would they create?
Or what if you could merge additional High templar to Archons and their damage and shields increased.
What if you could merge 4 high templar and they made a flying ARCHON.
WHAT IF YOU COULD MERGE 2 HIGH TEMPLAR WITH ONE DARK TEMPLAR AND TOU MADE A PERMA-CLOAKED ARCHON.

no expert, but my thoughts:
guardians are sacrificial kamikaze siege tanks / reavers, they need to be used to wipe out a base (hide mutas just outside of base / knowledge of person, and change into guardians), or at least its resource (mineral/gas) supply (nexus/command-center/hatchery)
yeah, imo they are far less versatile compared to other siege units, and too immobile to be useful in an engagement.

Wrong side attack from Soma, he decide to attack no recurce base, insted to go for left top base 23:43
I suppose he thought that if he could jump on the production he could significantly scale down the protoss army for a couple minutes and that would be enough to wipe down top left and 6 o'clock. Going in also forced the protoss to respond in the main and could not defend the 9 o'clock which fell because of that. at 24:43 the entire protoss army is up heading to top-left so it was unlikely damage could be dealt at that time.
But I agree that putting some pressure on top left could have make it fall at other times.
Is Z v P always ends up being a storm spam?
I wonder if it would maybe be a good idea to skip the "Starcraft - broodwar" title ending and replace with a brief description at the start or end of the title, like Winter or Lowko or Pig do? Maybe the "starcraft - broodwar" works as a keyword for the algorithm? I dont know. But it might be good to try a few times with some brief descriptions of the matches?

This particular game I would have maybe called something like "siege wars"? Cause there was lots of besieging happening on both sides and they played around with so many reavers and lurkers.

Why do we never see Queens with stuff like ensnare or parasite? I feel like parasite is so useful on a shuttle or a corsair or something similar.

Please look at the minimap more! You missed what appeared to be a 4th base while following some lings that weren't doing anything. You also didn't show the protoss base and what he was teching towards. I find you missing drops all the time as well.

What is the most plaug game?
A lot of times I feel like starcraft is broken and not balanced really well. .. It's just that some korean savants can overcome it and still be the best.. the storm is just dumb and broken... and they still can out produce the zerg it seems plus every unit is 3x stronger.. I always felt protoss was always the cheapest and cheesiest race where players just spam storm all day..

some epic games. Like freaking magickal Starcraft play..

Storm cheating
Love the replays my wife hates u cuz I watch them constantly even just listening to ur commentating on them while driving. Dont fully understand what u mean by nine pool and over pool can u explain a little maybe u have before
9 pool is when you wait till you have 9 drones (max out your pop with 1 overlord) before you make a spawning pool. The number before the strategy is always to say at how much supply you do the thing
