- Check out this 24 Hour Combat Ration of Chile. It has 4 main courses, fantastic sides, and what have to be some of the most efficient Flameless Ration Heaters (FRH) ever included in a ration.
I found this one to be highly enjoyable, and very convenient to prepare.
Huge thanks to MREmountain for giving me such a great deal on this ration. Check out his Ration Shop (his own website and also on Ebay) here:

He's always got it translated by whoever he got the MRE from.. are you guys serious?
I think there are apps that translate text

One of the most interesting aspects of Steve's channel is seeing what other countries might typically eat. MRE's often contain comfort foods in addition to nutritional necessities, so it's cool to see what some Chilean or Bolivian dude's mom or something might make and have it emulated in an MRE. I had no idea Slavs enjoyed pâté this much.

I suspect that Steve's cheerful personality has an effect on his audience. Hard to be negative
This is a true review channel. People that do reviews on RUclips (of anything) need to be taking notes. I cannot emphasize enough how well you review these MREs and rations. Truly remarkable
Fuckk Face there are instructional videos on how to make review videos. Basically, talk talk talk and address the five senses.
That's it.
He seems like a good guy but I'm really interested in the reveal itself so I could use less talking.
Steve's the only reason I care about mres.

I'm Chilean, and we are used to eat apricots with white cream, but I personally I would never eat the apricot syrup with granola cereal, sounds crazy to me xD my grandma also put a lot of oil in the pasta sauce while she is cooking it, we also eat a lot of pasta with soup like "porotos con riendas" which is a famous Chilean recipe with a lot of pumpkin, im glad that you make this video! thanks for sharing
Wena maldita chora, la granola con leche es lo mejor ;D
Si no se porque chucha no le pusieron su lechita en polvo pal cereal.
Ai u sexy mamacita
Does pumpkin grow down that way, or is it coming from abroad?
@@archstanton3931 pumpkin grows just fine. Then again, Chile has all kinds of climates other than tropical (not counting easter island). The most popular kind of pumpkin there, is a chilean variety called "zapallo", that foreigners find fascinating because its gigantic and gray, while still tasting very sweet and creamy. They saw them into pieces at the farmers market and sell it like that.
The beans are "Porotos con Riendas" it's a typical Chilean food for winter time, contains beans, spaghuetis, pumpkins and a little touch of onion it's supouse to look like a soup! I'm Chilean so it's great to know what our soldier eat like combat ration!

When I served in the US Army back in 1969/71, I loved all the C rations. Thought they tasted great. Have been eating military rations ever since.
Thank you!
The video editing in this series is clever. The audio is also well done; the crumpling of paper, crunching of foil etc.. definitely adds to the viewing experience.
Here's the thing, i have absolutely no interest in this subject but you still make it amazingly interesting for me to watch. Your genuine character adds to the experience. Gonna be another late night of binging.
ExKalibur4K Completely agreed. Although his videos of him eating REALLY old MREs are...well, super funny

Hey Miss Bubbles, I remember thinking if I got 10k subs one day I would be amazed. So this has all gotten so much larger than I'd ever imagined. I am so happy to know there are more than just a few folks interested in rations.

I would love somebody to help Steve create the perfect MRE in his mind. Trying to balance palatability, practicality, calorie content, usability, efficiency, and portability. I have a very good feeling that with all the knowledge he has accumulated over his years of studying, researching, and eating MREs that he would be exceptionally qualified.
I always watch for the spoon effects after stirring
Me too, they make me laugh. I'm such a childish man. :D
Waiting for the day he pulls a Men at Work joke with it.

In Chile, the beans with noodles are said porotos con riendas and it is a typical food of my country
No clue if a company already does this, but it would be really cool to make MRE style packages with food from worldwide cultures specifically geared for in-store purchase, not just American MRE remakes, cause there's a lot of those already. Reason why I say this, is because a lot of these MRE reviews have such differentiating food meals that I, personally, would love to try, in convenient packaging. And from there this company could easily make to-go versions of this product line for camping or hiking so some of the original MRE functionality is kept in place. Think of it like a international scale food sampler...package.
Instance Gaming ikr? I'd buy that!
I'd love to have a two or three of MRE as emergency food backup during camping!
20:14 , best quote of the video. " it's got a little dangler". lol

Hey Maik! I agree - nothing like having a properly sharpened knife.
And when they're properly sharpened, they need less force to use, making them safer.
Sharpening jigs do wonders, and they are so easy to build.
Please tell airlines about this inverse relationship of sharpness & force. Those plastic bits they try calling a knife are currently extremely dangerous due to their dullness. My teeth are more effective.
