I'm sewing a 1954 design a western twist! Pattern hack |

- Hi everyone! I'm using Vogue pattern V1023 to create a denim, sherpa lined jacket. This pattern is a 1954 design that is discontinued but can be found pre-owned online. I made a couple of changes to the making of the jacket as well as changes to my initial plans. Follow along as I make my way through the process.
I'm starting to think like the design houses. Sewing fall/winter garments in the spring/summer season and vice versa. It always takes Michigan a while to get warm, but we can jump to cold weather with the snap of a finger! That's Michigan!

Big bird’s legs! 😂😂😂
That coat looks sooooo cozy! Well done!
Yeeess, buttonholes have me in a tizzy sometimes, but I make it through. 😆 Thank you!
Stunning!
Thank you!
I love this - what an excellent blend of styles to make something unique and beautiful. Also I laughed out loud at 'looks like big bird legs' because I for sure have had that buttonhole happen.
Those buttonholes have me going sometimes! 😆
Love how you added your own to this pattern. It is beautiful
Thank you!

Hi Kyla, Debbie here👋 Wow just love it ❤Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am just cutting out a vintage shirt pattern with the underarm technique which I didn’t understand. This has come at just the right time x x
Yay! You're welcome! ☺️
love to watch your process! Could you show us how you organize your patterns?
I sure can! Stay tuned!
