I don't think any of them know that the "challenge" button on the Draw 4 is because you can't play Draw 4 unless it's the only card you can play, and if you are challenged on playing and were actually unable to play other cards they have to draw six, but if you weren't you have to draw the four instead

it doesn't strictly have to be the only playable card, you just can't have a card of the matching color, so if you could match on symbol or have another wildcard you are still allowed to play a +4

As soon as I saw this version of UNO I knew it was going to be a never ending cycle. My friend had a game go on for over half an hour. Because they kept changing hands and picking up cards

I was always confuses about the challenging a +4 rule until i got my own version of the cardgame. Apparently the rule is that you cant play the +4 if you have cards remaining of the current colour in play. I dont rememeber if it allows for matching numbers/symbols, but challenging the +4 is essentially calling someone's bluff on whether they have the right to play the +4 or not
For future Uno videos, turn on the following rules to make the game more wild and crazy. +2 and +4 stacking, hand swapping on 7's, and hand rotations on 0's. Markiplier uses these rules when playing this game and it makes for some big brain plays.
Whenever I play real life UNO, I use a rule that states that if you have multiple of a number in hand and the card in play is that number, you can put them all down at once, with whatever is put on last being the new color. It's usually limited to three at a time.

I shit you not, my friend and I had a 45 minute round of Uno once. It was 1v1 and we just kept dropping draw 2/draw 4 cards or getting stuck drawing 10+ card streaks without anything playable. We were both too stubborn to walk away and admit defeat, so we just played it out.
Also, some clarification on the draw 4 challenge mechanic: You can only *legally* play the draw 4 wild card if you have _no other playable cards._ You can still bluff by playing the draw 4 card anyways, but if somebody challenges it and you have other playable cards, *you* draw instead. If they challenge it and you *don't* have other playable cards (i.e. it was a legal move), the challenger has to draw six cards instead of four.
Extremely long games like that is why the base rules only have you draw a single card. Drawing until you can play is a house rule for masochists.
You understood the Challenge mechanic backwards. Basically, in order for challenge to fail, the +4 needs to be the only thing you could've played. If you had the color that you played +4 ON (meaning you could've played a colored card), then challenge will work.
Man I thought knowing uno rules was just a universal understanding. Seeing people play for the first time was weird but fun

To answer what Challenge does in Uno:
Whenever someone plays a +4, the person getting +4'd can "Challenge" the one who played it. If so, then the game checks if the person who played the +4 has a card of the color they played. If so, then the Challenge is won and the player who played the +4 gets +4'd instead. However, if they had no other option but to play the +4, then the one Challenge'd takes +6 instead.
Example:
The card in the middle is yellow. I have 2 green cards, 1 yellow card, and a +4. I play the +4. The person to my left challenges me. Because I _do_ have a yellow card, the challenge is won and I draw 4 cards.
However, if I only had 2 green cards and no yellow card, the challenge would have been lost because I couldn't play yellow, and the person left of me draws 6 cards.

Challenge - It's illegal in a game of Uno to play a +4 Wild if you can play another card in your hand instead. The +4 Wild has to be the only move you can make. If you play a +4 Wild, the target can CHALLENGE the play. You then have to reveal your hand. If you have a card you could have played besides the +4 Wild, you have to draw the cards instead. But if you pass the challenge, then they draw +6 instead of +4.
Also, this is why you should never, EVER play Draw to Match in Uno. It just makes the game drag on for WAY too long.

To my understanding, "Challenge" succeeds when the player using the draw 4 had other cards they could have played.
Basically, you never have to worry about being challenged if you save your draw 4 until you have no choice but to use it.

For reference: A Wild +4 can only "legally" be played when you cannot play any other card. For example: Playing a Wild +4 on blue when you have a blue card is "illegal".
for the people that dont know:
you can only play plus 4 when you cant place any other card. you can place it down but if other people chalenge you and you show that you cant do any other card, that means the failed the cahalenge and have to draw 6 cards, if you coud put other card down you have to draw 4 cards

I learned this with my family, if you ever want the game to end turn off multiple card pickup. That rule DRAGS ON GAMES FOREVERRRRR. If you don't have a card then you should pickup only 1.

I think Challenge isn't checking if the previous player has the colour they changed the game to or not, but rather if they could have played something else instead.
- If they could've, it's a successful challenge, and the previous player has to draw cards.
- If they couldn't have, then whoever challenged them has to draw cards.

I think the funniest joke in the thumbnail is that it has multiple layers. There’s the +25 meme where Jacob has obviously picked up 25 instead of not click-baiting Jaiden. Then there’s the initial observation that despite this, Jaiden isn’t visible anywhere in the thumbnail. The final layer is that WAIT, that is JAIDEN’S hand holding the +25 card, since only her avatar has pure white skin, so she WAS click-baited after all. Classic.
