As a classical listener I’ve been loving these. So many iem’s scoop out a lot of relevant frequencies so it’s been quite refreshing to get a good tuning for classical at this price range. They recreate the concert hall pretty dang well
I’ve been following the shilling on this one and that FR graph really speaks to me….low pinna, relaxed at both ends, I’m in like Flynn lol. Thank you for the great review..!
I took the dive and love them, best iem i've bought for a long time. Got it with the supermix and between the 2 I don't feel the need to buy any others for a while
The faceplate of the explorer looks awesome! The price for them seems quite nice. There are so many good iems at a price point now. Although the no protective mesh is a bit concerning specially for someone who has more than average of ear wax. Also having no lip, is a bit a bummer, wish the end of nozzle was metallic. As usual great review
@@sagaman4785 yes, that's what I said. I heard this at TDMonks review, but nobody else commented on this... I want to use it on Fiio BTR15, so I'm quite curious 🤔
I just watched that video. Guy just says that he didn't find it "engaging". Whatever that means. IMO he just found the smooth tuning boring and was going deaf trying to distort it somehow.
Thanks for the reviews! I bought the Kefine Delci on your recomendation. It's good but too bright for me. I want to turn up the volume to hear more details in the bass region, but I can't because then my ears sore! I was considering the Hidizs mp145 but I am afraid to face the same problem. Was also considering Fiio FH3. Could this one be a better option for me? (Also bought CCA Rhapsody on your recommendation, I love that one!)
@@PrimeAudioReviews I would say yes, but I will try with different tips. I am quite treble sensitive. The pinna gain also often makes me unconfortable. I think I will go for the mp145 as it is so highly praised.Other reviews say the highs are well controled and the upper mid not too elevated.
I got the EA500LM a few months ago but the treble region killed my ears. So, I got the Truthear Zero Red although most people consider it a downgrade from the EA500LM but I like it much more than the EA500LM thanks to its tamed treble. However, I don’t find it comfortable due to huge nozzle and overall size. Do you think the Aful Explorer is an upgrade from the Zero Red? I like warmth with more bass and less treble so the Explorer seems perfect for me but I’d like to get your opinion as well. Also, thank you for the great review.
Is it better than the Performer 5? I can get both for pretty much the same price. I've been told this one has better bass. Stronger and with better texture.
I should be curious to know if the Aful Cantor is better than the Softears RSV RS5? I was about to buy one but finally I didn't. I think I will choose one between the Aful or the RS5...
@@PrimeAudioReviews Thanks. I was torn beween the two, but ended up going for the Explorer for the "relaxing" tune. Hope I don't regret it when it arrives at the end of the month. Maybe I can EQ it to get a bit more resolution if I feel the need for more "analytical listening" from time to time.
@@DrinkWater713 have you gotten it yet? I just ordered mine but I'm kinda scared... I had a moondrop may but I liked the amount of bass impact and the texture of it but wished for a bit more. According to graphs their bass seems to be similar?? I sold my may to hopefully "upgrade" to the Explorer but idk if I made the right choice. The recessed or lower (?) treble got me wondering about the detail retrieval and also imaging. I am not quite familiar with the actual terms and things but this is what I understand from reading graphs and actually getting the iem (e.g. moondrop chu 1 and the may). There's also a surprise because I actually got to listen to the Aful MagicOne I felt it had more impact that the P5 for some reason??? I liked the bass on the MagicOne far better than the P5 and actually overall the sounding of the iem but from graphs they are saying there's a lot less of the lower end on the MagicOne? I have no clue why it's like that but I was hoping that I would get something similar to the MagicOnes with better detail? I am just really not sure...
Great review, thanks. Is a comparison possible with Simgot 500LM? Of course their sound profiles are very different, but at least in terms of technicalities? And maybe your personal preference?
Explorer has less upper midrange presence and a warmer tone. EA500LM has a more spacious, brighter tone and better micro-detail retrieval. If I had to choose one it would be hard - I love the Explorer shells and the easygoing nature of it but I also like the openness and air of the EA500LM.

Flint. In like Flint. It's from early 60s television.

The cosmos shell design looks quite lovely.
I really like the faceplates of this one. Reminds me of Kinera. Appreciate the kinda different tuning too. Thanks for the great review!
This seems like a solid IEM, and decent accessories. Nice to see tuning that is a bit different.
Yep, it's an enjoyable IEM.
Those look AUFULLY good, David!
They sound awful good too!

Nice review, thank you!
looking like a great response curve!
Nice review..just on time. Btw recieve Kefine Delci. With Dunu s&s tips sounds great. What is the diference between this twoo iems?
Delci is more V-shaped and dynamic, Explorer is warmer with more body.
@@PrimeAudioReviews thanks very much.
How about power cusumption? The Monk reported about that it needs a lot of juice to engage it's potential.....
That’s right, check out T.D. Monks review as well!

It doesn't need a powerful source. @whigger83 BTR15 is more than enough to drive these.
@@PrimeAudioReviews thanks for your reply :-)
Its made for rock, metal and loud listening. Ea500LM has the wow factor, but too sibilant for me.

Hi Have u Purchased MP145?
Hello, very nice iem, but do you think it is an upgrade over the FIIO JH5 ?
I like those shells. I don't get why there is no lip to help hold the tips on though.
To be fair, the included tips are pretty secure but if you want to do any tip-rolling, it limits your options a bit.

Lucky. Best I can get P5 for is 160 on sale (new).

I don't have either of them I'm afraid.
Vs cklvx ?
No idea about that one.
Suitable for rock, metal, hip hop? Or is there any better suggestion for around the same price?
very much so! the best for louder volume under 200ish
How does it compare to the Doscinco?
Only tried the Doscino briefly at CanJam but from memory - Doscino was a level up.
@@PrimeAudioReviews Interesting. In what way did you get the impression it is step up?
It was a bit more resolving and had better dynamics.

Hi #primeaudio
Vs MP145
Which is better in terms of bass quality?
Quality? Mp145, unless you consider more bass as quantity. MP145 is better overall imo.

Average size but good instrument separation and resolution.

how does this compare to Simgot Supermix 4 mostly the soundstage
Good question. I only started testing Supermix 4 yesterday but I'm really liking it so far.
