How I love these little beings, thank you for everything you do to make their life’s better and to give them an other chance at a good life, we owe them at least that. ❤️
Yes i agree with what u said.But what bothers me in my heart is how these gentle souls are so hated by people there in some of the villages.they once had a female and a tiny baBy come into their village and she was just looking for food,the mother was so malnourished from being in the forest that they people cut down and burned for palm oil trees she was skin and bones.they tied her up and threw stones at her and hit her with sticks til she eventually died.was rescue but was just too much for her gentle soul and she died leaving her baby an orphan

They say the dreams usually consist of the last moments they spent with the mother. Wich is never a good thing. So that would usually consist of loud gun shots or being caught in a snare, then being attacked by the poachers and hacked up to be turned into bush meat. This is why so many babies show up to these sanctuaries so disturbed and need special round the clock care to make sure they survive. Bless the people who take care of these little guys

In the video where they interviewed Vet Arga and Babysitter Sri, it was informed that Beni is now in socialization complex waiting for his turn to go to pre-release island. Cinta is also at socialization complex with Hanin (who, in one video, Cinta threw a stick at for blocking the way), Fathia (who, in nest building lesson video, managed to build her own nest while Meryl fell behind) and Timpah (who kisses Babysitter Letha after learning how to scoop water with coconut shell). Not sure about the others though. You can try searching in 'Orangutan Outreach' or 'BOS Foundation' sites. Maybe there are more recent updates about them.
The reason the lights are on is because of how traumatised most of these orphans are, if they could not see their fellow orangutans or surrogate mothers they would freak out. They turn the lights off when everyone is asleep.
Just like any toddlers, they want love and hugs.
