That sofa is the perfect theater seat IMHO. If the middle room is supposed to be a flex room, it should really have a sofa of some sort, whether it be hide-a-bed or theater. The two doors seem a bit superfluous. I've always wanted a chance to use that word 😅 The anti lock brakes are something I wish they had put on our Imagine. Those entry steps are cool!!!!!!! I like that flop the dirt off first option!!!
Hi Josh! Purchased a 31mb last September. We had a 2015 F-250 gasser to tow it and I credit the dealership for wanting to check out our tow vehicle. We've several travel trailers and it seems that for to long dealers would say things like, "Sure it's 1/2 ton towable. Your honest reviews on this really welcome. Really like it. I see some things though in this model I wish we had. It didn't come with over bed reading lights but a $12 12 volt reading light from Amazon did the trick. Also don't have a dimmer switch for over the sofa or on the ceiling lights but recently found out that might fixable too. Love your channel!
LOVE this floorplan... except... no washer/dryer hook up. Not a deal breaker since I use a portable washer, but... the rear booth dinette is awesome! Thanx, Josh!
Wish the industry would test the slides when retracted and even if the results are "No! Do Not Use When Retracted!", at least then we would know for sure. Erring on the side of caution is more like an optional precaution that some may or may not heed.
Hi, Josh, great job. Love the shade in the door, and the lights on either sides of the bed, they are kind of vintage style. Like the mid style bunk room and the two entry doors into it. Like you said, it would be nice to have a desk under the shelves and the heat vent and the black panel at the bottom of the dresser, could go in a small corner cabinet between the two doors. Well have a great weekend and take care, stay safe.
Very nice floorplan, but a sofa sleeper option for the dinette would be awesome and allow for a much more residential feel to the living area👍and I think we can all agree that the days of the cheap $1.25 Store 4” fart fan should be relegated to the dustbin of history😢
Great floor plan for a family of 4... We bought this model new in 2023 for 58K USD and absolutely love it! The wish list after experiencing our new RV include; more outdoor storage, East-West master bed slide and a sofa bed in the mid-bunk. With that said, our favourite RV would be the Brinkley Model Z 3610 but it is 2X the price!!! Add a patio like the DURANGO GOLD to the Brinkley Model Z 3610 and you have the perfect RV for us.
Very nice unit and pretty well laid out. But, give me a door form the outside to access the space under the dinette in the rear. Do the same thing wiht the space under the bunk in the extra room. Remove the cabinet above the toilet or reduce it in size so that you are not dealing with a head banger. Good job on the awning and camp kitchen and love the way the stairs work.
If I had a family or friends with a family I'd buy one in a heartbeat 💯 Not that common these days but you can really tell that the team that came up with this was on the ball. Nail on the head and we get a 1/2 T too!! 🍻 Wish the walkway on the sides of the bed were wall to wall with storage below. Rifles etc.. 😁 A washer and dryer would be nice because this screams RV lot campground. Why not? Even though it's not my cup 0 tea it's brilliant for what it's meant for. Party rig where everyone can drive to, feel at home and man.. What a good way to get the city slickers to get out and try it. Grandparents will go down as awesome 🍻 😅
Not quite enough space for a W/D setup. All the slides and moving parts just don't allow room for it. Slightly bigger models like a cougar 368MBI will start to allow for those features
"Beyond that stage" on outside speakers. I agree, and I also feel that way about entertainment areas. Who even uses a T.V. anymore? Give me a functional desk instead of a T.V. cabinet. If I want to watch t.v. I'm watching on either a laptop, tablet or phone.
I wish someone would swap the bed and the desk/dresser. Say, put a desk against the outside wall with a nice window looking out then keep the dresser where it is but put a fold down bed above it. That way, we can have the office we need daily with a view outside and on those rare occasions we have a guest we can fold down the bed so they can have privacy. The bed would rest on the dresser (the dresser would become inaccessible but that’s ok) and it wouldn’t be so high that an older adult couldn’t climb into it. Not sure if that is feasible but it sure would be nice. We’d only rarely have guests but we work remotely every day and it’s a hassle when one of us has a zoom call or even a phone call. The nature of my husband’s business makes for some intense phone calls and I like it when there’s a wall between us.
Josh, Thnnk you for the extra effort you take to maximize the video opportunities. I especially appreciate the candor that you and Bish's present the pros and cons of the different models. However, your comments in this video about the anti-lock braking system have created a new perspective for me. Anti-lock braking is now much higher on my priority list. If it makes sense to you, why not do a video on the top safety upgrades that should be considered for RVs. Things like the antilock braking system, tpms, power management system, Fire extinguishers, etc.
Josh, your videos are why I have my 2022 travel trailer now. The pup's and I definitely appreciate your honest reviews and knowledge. Someday we will upgrade to a 5th wheel. Keep up the great work!
Hmmmm, the Reflection 324MBS could have an office version for us full-time working seniors called Reflection 324MOS call Middle Office Slide complete with a desk and printer support ... just an idea Grand Design. We love our 2670MKS, but want a full office instead of just a desk off of the kitchen. Cheers, Davey - KU9L
Hey Josh, I know you just did this review not too long ago, but the 2024 model looks like it fixed some gripes from owners. I just saw it in person for a couple minutes and was super impressed. That made me think that since you are still releasing new models that you have never shown, maybe you could do shorter follow up videos as a “short” for different models with full reviews attached. That way you could show all the changes without having to show the same trailers each year since there are so many. Just a thought. I enjoy your content (specifically the bunk models). By the way, they took away the outside speakers on the 2024.
Nice 5th wheel, but to big and to many slides for me. Like the dinette leg. Wish they still made the under 30” RD TT. I have never used my outdoor speakers. Nice video Josh.
The 31mb wasn’t in the 150 series. It’s still on their website, as “dealer stock only “, under the regular reflection series right with the 324mbs. Interesting it’s not that different but picked up nearly 1000lbs on the dry weight.
I love the concept, miss the second awning, wish GD would get rid of the schwintek slides, and probably not feeds me in this model but maybe a master bed slide with front closet space to accommodate a bigger shower. Love grand design, they have been a stand up company to deal with in my opinion. Love their innovative ideas also.
You are so funny. Regardless of what we purchase, we are coming to talk to you first. We think you can tell us what we need to know to go from a Class A to a 5th wheel. (Other than not needing to tow a car)😅. You will probably know what brand would give us the most of what we’re looking for. I know you said you’re not in sales, but you are the man with the most knowledge
Hi Josh, when I first heard your voice, I thought you might be getting a cold. I might have heard a little raspy, though. I hope you are well & keep safe & strong & get some rest.
Dont like the see through door to the bunkroom or why they need two doors. Now if the one door was eliminated and the main bed was on am east/west direction, it would be great!
I would prefer only 1 door to the mid bunk room and make it the hallway door. You could have a coffee bar otherwise in the kitchen. The kitchen toe kick is a big deal to me. I'm short, so the toe kick makes for an odd cooking angle.
It's too bad that the mid room thing compresses the Living Room and Kitchen into a "Livitchen" I also think that those mid-bunk models should have movable foam furniture on the bottom so it can be a couch or a lower bed, or even removed entirely so that you can bring in a table and make the area more of an office.
Just looked at this same exact setup. Our kids are older so the bunk room is extra storage or guest room etc if we buy. Planning on pulling with 17 F350 SRW Crew Long Bed. What is pin weight if that’s available?
@@JoshtheRVNerd What are your thoughts on a lot of the travel trailers in the 35-37 ft range? Are they a pain for state and National Parks as far as length and maneuvering? Had our eyes on a few but am now thinking of going back to a Fifth Wheel.
I thing before you buy a RV over a certain weight and length you should have to take a course and get a endorsement. To many window lickers pulling RVs. Great Video Josh once again.
Love your videos! We need a recommendation on a fifth wheel. Two daughters, 10 and 12, TALL and growing. Dad is 6’6”. Mom is normal lol. Want to be able to eat together, watch a movie together, and have decent sleeping arrangements for the kids. Help!
Hard to offer personalized recommendations without really being able to speak with someone and get to know a LOT of variables and factors in your personal equation. This models seems to make sense of a lot of that but it is important to understand FWs are actually hard to fit taller people like your husband since they cannot just make the roof taller (due to things like bridge clearances) This is considered a "mid profile" fifth wheel. Some higher profile models may offer extra headroom upstairs but at 6'6" he's always going to feel tight in the upper deck
Not too long ago you featured a small unit that has a counter that slides out from under a fixed counter. That's an idea that would help turn the mid bunk dresser into a workspace as needed. Regular viewers knew immediately that you are either tired and\or not feeling well when you recorded this. Take care of yourself.
Very nice. There isn't anything I don't like about this. This is very similar to the Cougar Halftonne 29MBS which I also like a great deal. However, this one is far better designed in the back half.
The roof sealant looks just like the Brinkley “maintenance free” roof. Has Grand Design changed their sealant to the same kind that Brinkley uses? What is this sealant and how is it different? Thank you!
The "pantry" would make a perfect hanging coat closet by the door and the middle room could easily be used as a butler's pantry (and yarn storage, I have to add that or the other half will be annoyed if she reads this).
I am not sure if anyone does currently. Whenever it’s been tried it’s failed pretty badly. The extra length trailers gain due to the tongue make the rv either too big or they have to cut too much out of it to make it a good layout anymore
