As an American with German ancestry I can confirm that the ancestry map looks correct, fun fact, some people in North Dakota still speak German, and many have learned it as a first language. Also I love maps
English was the largest ancestry in USA till the 2011. It still is, its just that they dont admit it

there's a problem with the map of ancesters because France owned a big part of the USA before 1803 (when Napoleon sold Louisianna to the USA...a territory that extended to Canada...22% of the actual USA territory) and few years before this sale a french bataillon came to help the independantists to create a country named : united states of america,
This french bataillon was led by a guy named: Lafayette. A lot of american cities are named by this guy's name (Lafayette or Fayetteville are a common city names in USA) a lot of cities are directely named like some french cities :
New Orleans in Louisianna or even Baton Rouge (directely a french name), Paris in Texas, i even found cities named Rochelle or La Rochelle in Canada (not only in the USA). Louisiana is named like that as a tribute to king Louis XIV of France.
to sum up : Yankees, don't forget some of your french ancestors (22% of the actual american territory was french before 1803)

nvm just googled it and found that a kilometer is 1k meters, and a metter is close to 3 feet!

I am American, and I will say, I think most states are wrong, but my home state (Wisconsin) is absolutely 100% correct LOL - although I am an exception. I am of European heritage, but my German ancestry is not that much actually.
