నేను, నా కుటుంబం, నా ఊరు, నా రాష్ట్రం, నా భాష, నా దేశం, ఇదంతా ఒకే భావన. ఎక్కువ తక్కువ లోనే తేడా. యుద్ధం లాంటి అత్యవసర సమయాల్లో తప్ప మిగతా సమయాల్లో దేశభక్తి అనే దానికి పెద్దగా ఉనికి ఉండదు. ,ఆకారణంగా ఇతరులకు హాని కలిగించకుండా జీవించగలిగితే చాలు.

With due respect, I don't think so. Prof. Nageshwar has immense knowledge of this topic particularly because its his area of expertise and has been a professor of Political Science for over 30 years. RGV's knowledge of this topic is quite ordinary and superficial. You would be able to reach RGV's level by reading a couple of good books about nationalism. But to attain Prof. Nageswar's level of proficiency would require years of dedicated effort.

Need of the hour debate. Much needed in the so called jingoistic trend of people supporting divisive politics. Nageswar sir is no surprise, rgv is a surprise package here, who advocates individualism, in taking initiative for a meaningful and enligjtening discussion, for the betterment of society, though his motive might not be same. He is interested in debates and discussion as an exchage and free flow of ideas.

Wow what a discussion. This reminds me of Prof. Abdur Rahim who goes on and on discussing a topic in a similar way without any conclusion. Abdur Rahim used to say that the discussion is to improve ones thinking rather than coming with a conclusion.
