I did a thing today and picked up the Ozark trail ridge for 172.98 at Walmart . Immediately realized the forks and brakes need some attention for sure . Also needs some tuning.
I have seen the L-TWOO T8s on the latest Schwinn Taff Comp. I has a longer cage and will work 11-42T range cogs. Comes from the factory with the "New" L-Twoo. Works good with the clutch. I'll be selling it on ebay soon as I converted to Acolyte and the 11-48T Advent X cassette.
I've had my Ridge for a couple of weeks now, and the only major upgrade I've done is to upgrade the brakes to Shimano mt200 hydraulic brakes (which are performing great). Outside of the brakes, I've replaced the pedals, and the grips. I haven't had any issues with my A5 dropping a chain, but I am looking to upgrade it.
I'm on week 2 of owning mine and it throws the chain even after adjustments have been made. I also upgraded grips and pedals. Love the bike just want the chain on it lol
say it aint so Lebron, give the Acera another chance. Thats my Go - to minimum viable derailleur. Old Faithful Acera. I would be surprised if LT - WOO could take the crown from it!
Man I'm with Tick I hate adjusting derailleurs, me me its right up there with true'ing a rotor it's the worst!! Can't wait for more budget electronic derailleurs to hit the market that allow you to tune in each gear sounds like a dream. I'm excited L-Twoo might have one, disappointed wheeltop didn't send their EDS
Ltwoo short cages are only used for folding bikes. What u got there is a medium cage which can clear a 44t cassette. Long cages can clear a 50t cassette...the stabilizer looks pretty much like srams' clutch system
I like the Ridge enough that I wanted to buy one. Not available at any of my local stores or for mail order:( On the bright side my old 26 inch MTB got some love, in the way of upgrades:)
seems like that might be intended for a road bike with a double or triple up front. or maybe for a downhill specific bike, where you don’t need the climbing gears.
The original A5 failure was due to operator error. 🤣 Wolfman never breaks any of this stuff on his bikes. I didn't send it, but is the Lion battery box for your other channel to store batteries in and charge them up in?

There is a medium cage length and you are looking at it. A short cage is really short and mostly used for slopestyle or downhill race bikes. 😎⚓👍
They also make a 27.5 version of it that also looks sick
That L-Twoo looks like a solid derailleur. Looking forward to the actual test. I may have to go from an Acera 8 speed to this 9 speed.

I have Ltwoo’s gravel group set. The derailleur looks very similar. 750 miles in and its performing great so far.
You can always use an hanger extension.
Check Berm Peak Seth has an Ozark trail and did some good upgrades to the bike. 😊
