Respect from Singapore. I earnestly believe that songs like this possess immense power; to the extent of putting an end to all the inhumane atrocities in our world today. How can one not be moved by such a beautiful tune? Think of all the killings and hatred in the Middle East. Imagine if ISIS in Syria had the chance to hear this, or rebels in Libya, or even Al-Qaeda in Yemen. What about conflicts between Russia and Ukraine rebels? Would they remain ever hardened after hearing so? Songs like this give you a sense of gratitude. To be thankful to be able to experience the wonderful world, that we humans collectively behold. The beauty of life on its own - waking up to a glorious sunset and coming back to the magnificent night sky. Thankful for the wonderful people around your life. And thankful to have the sensory capacity to savor the beauty of this song. Thank you Jon for sharing this marvel of a tune to the world.

wow, i dont understand any of this, i know it was for his best friend who died. The words are foreign to me, yet as a full grown man i shed a tear with this beautiful, powerful piece. thank you jon.
That's because there are no lyrics in this song. It's just the sounds he was feeling and does feel about his friends passing, it's a universal song to which everyone understands on a musical/emotional level, no-one understands the words because there are none.
Jon Henrik Fjällgren - Daniels Joik Do you go with me still, my dear friend, Although I no longer see you? Are you still here on earth, Just as you remain in my heart? I lie there and ponder, Its a deafly soundless around me. The tears break through and falls, In the memories of you. An angel that was left behind, Have now got its wings. Where do you fly now, my angel? Where do you fly now? Are you flying through the pearly gates, tell me? Or to the worlds end? Are you flying beside me? Or am I alone now? Where ever you are my friend. Where ever the path takes you. Promise me you'll wait there, Until we meet again. I hope you're happy now. As i was with you, The pain you have suffered, i hope its now gone. Soar free, my dear friend. You're free now. And until we meet again, Farewell, my angel. We miss you Reckful. You were gone too soon, this is too surreal. If you happen to see this, by some chance, don't minimize the things you feel. Reach out, please. Someone loves you. Ending it only passes your pain onto those around you. It's never too late to turn it all around, until it is. Don't make that decision. You are worth so much. More than you can realize right now. Godspeed. If you ever need me, I am here for you.

There are people with a voice as He who came to heal the earth. Long-forgotten ancient feelings awaken the soul and become one with the universe a few minutes. Simply you are able to open the floodgates'll make her better, because it empties out of all bitterness, and flows into the unit in place of remembering the true love. Blessings and love you Jon Henry, song deeply touched my heart.
So Beautiful! Brings tears to my eyes but puts my mentality to peace. I slept well last night after listening to this, sang it alot today and decided to listen to it again. Makes me wish I grew up in a Snowy Mountain, especially if these are the songs they come up with or the jojk they create. Very beautiful, such a sad story behind it though. #RIPDaniel

I first herd this amazing song if thats even what to call it..... in a rehab/treatment center, I am one who really had a hard time sticking to Gods plan and beliving in the reality of it all. This beautiful sound brings me nothing but good vibes and positive reinforcement. I would almost say that if i had a chance to hear some music such as this agian I would do nothing but good to help people prosper
It's a native scandinavian (Norway, Sweden, Finland and northern part of Russia) Sami/Sapmi people who has got a song called Joik, it's a way to sing so a person can express feelings, the sculpture of the nature and more....
This is the actual "lyrics" or story that's being told in his Jojk according to Jon Henrik himself and roughly translated by me: English: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Do you still walk with me, my dear friend, Though I no longer see you ? Are you still here on earth, Like your still in my heart? I lay here and ponder , It's a desolate silence around me . Tears breaks out and fall, Thinking about you . An angel who was forgotten here, Has now got his wings . Where do you fly now, my angel? Where do you fly now? Are you flying through the celestial gate? Or to the end of the world ? Are you flying next to me ? Or am I alone now ? Wherever you are, my friend. Wherever the road takes you. Promise that you wait there, Until I meet you . I hope you're happy now . Like I was with you. And the pain you have suffered , Is forgotten. Float freely , my dear friend. You are free now. And until we meet again , Farewell, my angel.
What an amazing song! I got chills and goose bumps. It has such a similarity to what I know of Native American Music. What's with all to goofy comments?
+Dano Pierce I know this is an old comment, but would like to respond to your question :) This is song is used on a website called Twitch.tv to callout a Girl Streamer that people think streams slutty because of example reasons (Showing booty, boobs, camel toe and vagina on stream which is not permitted on the website since its a gaming related website) So this song was used to make another song called LeaYouHoe. Hope this answers your question :)

I remember posting this song to reckful during the time my brother had a super hard time in his life and it hit me real hard because he never wanted help, he always wanted to get back on his feet alone.. it helped me through how i felt for him to share this song and see all the love & positivty. I noticed this song hit reckful emotionally and i really hope it didn't have anything to do with the suicidal😢I'm really scared something similar is going to happend to my brother without being able to help him. Reckful was the greatest of all time. He was fun, kind, inspiring, shared love & positivity. I miss him so much😭It hurts so bad man, fuck. Even though all of us didn't know him irl we had a strong connection to him. Rest in peace Byron, you were the best❤️❤️
I don't understand the lyrics but it touched my heart and made me to cry😢😢😢. Listening to his music gives me peace in my heart. I thanked God for using him and brought this music.
+Exchange93 Actually, its not sami language as its jojk, and he does not sing in a language he sing with his feelings not words wich is kinda the whole point. And its not related to Germany in any way. Also he lives in sweden and talk swedish in general, he can speak Sami obviously but its not related to this song wse, he was adopted from Columbia to a family in Sweden, and Sami is not a nation, its a culture in northern sweden, norway and finland.
This is soo beautiful i have never heard anything like it but it touches you like you have heard it before. This is lost in time and hopefully never forgoten.
Heard this song once and ever since then the first note brings it all back. It impacted me so much and still gives me chills every time. I don't how much of this is hearing my ancestors language and how much is this man's incredible voice and him singing to his friend who has passed. I'm grateful he has shared it.
Fantastisk konsert.💖💖💖💖💖💖🦸🦸♂️🦸

I'm not swedish but this jojk is heart melting and compels every listener to flow deep down and down. makes your eyes full of tears and your heart full of emotions. we are absolute fortunate being able to hear what he is conveying.

Rest in Peace Byron. You will be remembered.
My friend died exactly a year ago, I found this jojk and i cried my fvckin' ass out.. it feels like every emotion you don't understand is sang in this music.
:(
Just found this song and understand exactly what you mean
True words.
I found the version with English subtitles of another Sami song...
I do not know how much it is correct, but among the translations I have watched, this seems the most accurate one:

This touched my heart - even though not a language I'm familiar with I really 'felt' this song - very emotional.
thats the point... joik does show you feelings in a way that worda cant describe:)
It's like awakening feelings you never knew you actually have...beautiful!
Yeah i agree

just too beautiful for words... I lost my mum four weeks ago, and this joik really brings out every emotion inside me... its just too beautiful for words... my mum would have loved this...
This song really is something else, which you all the courage in the world
@@NotesfromtheBenchRWDP Thank you, how kind of you
I send you a big kiss from France
wow, i dont understand any of this, i know it was for his best friend who died.
Jon Henrik Fjällgren - Daniels Joik
Do you go with me still, my dear friend,
Although I no longer see you?
Are you still here on earth,
Just as you remain in my heart?
I lie there and ponder,
Its a deafly soundless around me.
The tears break through and falls,
In the memories of you.
An angel that was left behind,
Have now got its wings.
Where do you fly now, my angel?
Where do you fly now?
Are you flying through the pearly gates, tell me?
Or to the worlds end?
Are you flying beside me?
Or am I alone now?
Where ever you are my friend.
Where ever the path takes you.
Promise me you'll wait there,
Until we meet again.
I hope you're happy now.
As i was with you,
The pain you have suffered,
i hope its now gone.
Soar free, my dear friend.
You're free now.
And until we meet again,
Farewell, my angel.

This speaks to my soul. It echoes through snowy valleys from my ancient ancestors. It’s amazing.

I hope you are at peace now. You were such a giving person, I am very sorry that you didn't find a passion in life, but I do hope you are at peace now. Depression is horrible. A whirlpool of darkness shrouding your mind, lying to you, telling you that you're bad, that you are alone, and I cannot imagine how long it felt for you. I love you reckful sincerely a pleb

Greeting from Czech Republic.
When the earth stood still
Rip Byron, I will always remember you
So Beautiful! #RIPDaniel

i Cannot Understand The Lyrics At All But The Pain & Emotion In This Song Is Unbelievable ♥️
It is a Swedish Sami way of singing. There isn't a singel word in this song.
Its about his bestfriend i believe, he ended his life and he made this joik in honor of him
I first herd this amazing song if thats even what to call it..... in a rehab/treatment center, I am one who really had a hard time sticking to Gods plan and beliving in the reality of it all.
This is the actual "lyrics" or story that's being told in his Jojk according to Jon Henrik himself and roughly translated by me:
English:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you still walk with me, my dear friend,
Though I no longer see you ?
Are you still here on earth,
Like your still in my heart?
I lay here and ponder ,
It's a desolate silence around me .
Tears breaks out and fall,
Thinking about you .
An angel who was forgotten here,
Has now got his wings .
Where do you fly now, my angel?
Where do you fly now?
Are you flying through the celestial gate?
Or to the end of the world ?
Are you flying next to me ?
Or am I alone now ?
Wherever you are, my friend.
Wherever the road takes you.
Promise that you wait there,
Until I meet you .
I hope you're happy now .
Like I was with you.
And the pain you have suffered ,
Is forgotten.
Float freely , my dear friend.
You are free now.
And until we meet again ,
Farewell, my angel.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Swedish:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The adoption the perfect clothes the job the struggles the heartache the absolute courage to sing this joik 😢 what a top f-----'g man ☺
Thank you Attacker for bringing me here. Such beauty!
Beautifull voice / Respect from Poland!
What an amazing song! I got chills and goose bumps. It has such a similarity to what I know of Native American Music. What's with all to goofy comments?
+Lisa Frideborg Eddy Yes, indeed. I relate very much to his music even though I do not understand the language, the emotion is Universal.
This is native swedish music called jojk.

Always come back to this, it is amazing. I know when I’m listening to a great song when the back of my neck tingles but with Jon my whole body tingles. Andy UK
Beautiful!! Try opening two pages of this link so one is echoing the first, it is awesome!!

Going to miss you, Reckful 🖤

just breathtaking ! my soul went on a travel far, so far away ... in another time, place and maybe earth ... Thank you so much !
I wish he would perform it at reckful's funeral. I cried just imagining how powerful that would be.
There are no words for this...it is just simply sublime.
Beautiful. Amazing... Sad but fulfilled content happy. I love this.
I don't understand the lyrics but it touched my heart and made me to cry😢😢😢. Listening to his music gives me peace in my heart. I thanked God for using him and brought this music.
Greetings from Azerbaijan to the Sweeden ! I can't describe how beautiful this song is .. Skål! vacker
Sverige !! :p
+Exchange93 Samerna lever i Sverige din nöt : )
+Exchange93 Actually, its not sami language as its jojk, and he does not sing in a language he sing with his feelings not words wich is kinda the whole point. And its not related to Germany in any way. Also he lives in sweden and talk swedish in general, he can speak Sami obviously but its not related to this song wse, he was adopted from Columbia to a family in Sweden, and Sami is not a nation, its a culture in northern sweden, norway and finland.
This just came to my mind again, it´s such a great song.
BAck then and now still.
Rest in peace byron...

Heard this song once and ever since then the first note brings it all back. It impacted me so much and still gives me chills every time. I don't how much of this is hearing my ancestors language and how much is this man's incredible voice and him singing to his friend who has passed. I'm grateful he has shared it.
Skitbra, gav gåshud direkt! :) väldigt annorlunda och extremt fin känsla i musiken
