Ring of Honor (ROH) is a professional wrestling promotion recently acquired by Tony Khan, CEO of AEW, Chief Football Strategy Officer of the Jacksonville Jaguars and GM/Sporting Director of Fulham F.C. The acquisition, which was completed through an entity that is wholly-owned by Tony Khan, included ROH’s extensive video library dating back to 2002, brand assets, intellectual property, production equipment and more.
With more than 20 years of rich wrestling history, ROH has launched the careers of numerous AEW stars, including CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Hangman Page, Dr. Britt Baker, Adam Cole, Samoa Joe, among others. Additional members of the AEW roster have made their mark in ROH, including the late Brodie Lee, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Scorpio Sky, ReDragon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly), Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta), Jay Lethal, Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydal, Mercedes Martinez, Serena Deeb, Frankie Kazarian, Keith Lee, Eddie Kingston, Evil Uno, QT Marshall, Danhausen, Lance Archer, Griff Garrison, Thunder Rosa, Wheeler Yuta, Luchasaurus, Orange Cassidy, Ethan Page, Austin Gunn, PAC, Kip Sabian, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Jerry Lynn, BJ Whitmer, Ace Steel and Sonjay Dutt.
ROH’s current list of champions includes ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe, ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta, ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) and ROH Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez. Tony Khan’s purchase of ROH signifies a new chapter in the future of professional wrestling as AEW’s meteoric rise continues to draw the youngest-skewing wrestling audience on television.
Honestly I thought nothing would be better then the 2017 Royal Rumble that had Undertaker, Brock and Goldberg in the same ring. But Haku, Muta, Jushin, and Suzuki in the same ring will never be beaten.
The whole show, NJPW guys get wayyyyy bigger pops from the crowd in ROH's backyard.
No shit they see the roh guys a lot so they're excited to see guys they don't get to see work a lot

I hate that the crowd was dead when the ROH stars came out. They CLEARLY loved the New Japan wrestlers WAY more.
at this time, ROH relied so much on NJPW wrestlers and when THE Elite branched out, they brought along the NJPW fanatics with them to AEW thus ROH became the shell of their former selves and tried to stay on top with whomever they got at that time with NXT signing their wrestlers left and right too...
Man, every single time I watch this, Muta's entrance gives me chills

1. New Japan’s roster is crazy over in the United States.
2. Nobody gives a shit about ROH.
Well the better way to say it, is that there are more WWE FANS than wrestling fans
US fans don’t get to see the nj guys ever...of course people are more excited to see their favorite foreigners

@@marcduran8444 that has fuckall to do with anything. NJPW is insanely over in this country because they have the best in-ring product going. the wider audience is FINALLY getting to see what we tape traders were crowing about in the early 90's.

Minoru's was made by an actual big name singer,In Japan, so Im guessing its only liscenced to play on NJPW shows. Plus Billion dollar Sinclair which owns ROH is cheap as fuck.

i saw it coming the whole time when they were saying that cheeseburger guy was the longest in the match i was like what happen to kenny king i never saw him get eliminated. then he comes back at the end like that i was like i knew it he wasnt eliminated.
No it comes to smarts and talent..i watched one of another brand where Christian wasnt eliminated but didnt come back which made like wtf this was dumb
But Curtis Axel was never eliminated that one time and that was never acknowledged....

ROH embarrassed themselves by having Kenny King of all people winning this match.

P Picaso It would’ve worked out better if Liger had won because it would’ve popped the crowd, but it would’ve also helped make Matt Taven a more credible champion if he beat Liger.

It wasn't just him. Liger's theme was dubbed. Muta's, Taguchi's, it was crap. I was there and hearing it in the arena and hearing the crowd sing 'Kaze Ni Nare' in MSG was such a surreal, amazing experience. Even the commentators mention it. I tweeted ROH and Sinclair Broadcasting about it almost immediately after watching it back. We couldn't care less about international copyright laws or how much it costs. Do it right or don't do it. I don't mean to be so ungrateful but come on.
It's not even dubbed properly either. You can still hear the original theme faintly in the background at times.

Another cool night in my almost 16 years working at The Garden
I only noticed this now but the Kingdom didn't took cafe of eliminating Haku. Almost took a bad bump. They rushed on the elimination because the lariat failed. They could've done it better. Haku got lucky with the rotation but you can see he got no control when he landed.

I would argue 2018-2019 was the peak of independent wrestling. AEW got worse , and so did independent wrestling. Only TNA is thriving right now
And aew killed roh by buying them, roh is a nothing show right now
TNA is surviving because of the partnership with WWE and we know WWE will take the best of TNA's wrestler at the end.

The number 1 entry left through the middle rope earlier when the big guy was eliminated from everyone else in the ring. Did he sneak himself under the wrestling ring? Camera's didn't show him, although it was classic to see Haku, I remember him from WWF/WWE years!
