I used this to make cinnamon popcorn and my kids loved it. My grandmother used to take us to a popcorn place called Topsy's and I would always get a cinnamon popcorn ball and a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Thanks for allowing me to relive my childhood for a moment.
I love your video . I love you tutorials and I love how you’re very thorough so that we too can make sweet treats like you. Thank you for this year. Much love and blessings..
Thanks for posting this! It worked perfectly for my CFL team. Toronto Argos for tailgate party!! I have tried hundreds of recipes and never worked. I started with the 1/2 size!!!!!
When it comes to pricing, it really depends on your market and who you’re selling to how you package the money you spent on packaging and what sizes that you are offering I can easily give you a price, but it depends on what do you plan to offer for your popcorn selection, whether they’re small, medium or large Size served in a bag or a container. It just depends and all of them have a different price range.
I'm going to try this on my next batch. I make this popcorn but have always wondered how to fully coat it. I'll let you know the outcome. Strawberry will be the flavor
Hello can we make this a day or two before and bag it separately. I want to do this for my baby shower next week but don't want to be making it the morning of.
Thanks for sharing. I have a question though hope someone can answer if I plan to do them for my son's party can I do them the day before the party? TIA
If I’m using a stove should I use low, medium, or high heat to cook the mixture ? And does it have to cook for 5 minutes or come to a complete boil. I tried and I got no crunch. It was chewy.
I followed your recipe for full size.. my popcorn is chewy and soft.. what did I do wrong and can I just put it back in the over for another 15 min interval?
Yes, you can put it back in the oven for another 15 minutes but you have to watch it to make sure that it don’t over cook and make sure after each animal you’re flipping the popcorn and make sure the type of popcorn that you use is not buttery or extra butter because it will turn to thin out the mixture
Quick question Ro, I want to pop my own mushroom popcorn...how many cups of popped popcorn do I need for the full 4 -1-1 recipe? 10 cups? The red and green is so festive, ya gotta love it! Merry Christmas from Texas!! : )
I'm a beginner this is the second recipe of yours I've tried, this recipe is amazing I added flavor to my second batch and it was gummy I don't know what I did wrong, but I will try it again. Thank you Ro I love your work!!!
Hi :! I was reading the posted recipe and it’s says for the small batch not butter is needed. I just wanted to make sure that was correct 🥰🥰 also I absolutely love you and your videos. You are an inspiration 😊
Good day queen. I like your other popcorn recipe. So my question. My popcorn was not crunch it was soft. Should I put popcorn back in oven. I made popcorn yesterday. Thank you. Love ya diva
It is OK to put it back in the oven but it depends on how soft it is. If you cooked your mixture for five minutes it shouldn’t of got soft after the process and I really can’t say where you messed up at because it would have to be visual to me to actually say where you messed up. That’s why I mentioned just follow the steps exactly and let the popcorn sit to air dry to become hard.
Hi! I love all of your videos. Thank you for sharing your craft with us. I tried this recipe and after letting it air dry for 10 minutes, my popcorn stuck to the bottom of my cookie sheet. What did I do wrong??
So after you bake the popcorn it is going to harden to come to the candied stage, That’s why it’s important to mix and Break up to separate your candy so it don’t stick to the baking sheet. Soon as it comes out the oven you should continue to keep mixing to break up and separate until it comes to the candy stage of being hard because it will dry up in 10 to 15 minutes and that’s how you create the candy popcorn
Hey Ro! I just made this and used a disposable tin pan to mix/bake in. After 3 rounds in the oven it's still gooey slightly. I added it for an additional 5 minutes... is that ok? Or is that Normal to be slightly gooey?
I'm gonna try this. I have all the ingredients except 2. I have food coloring but not the bottles she had and I don't have the watermelon ingredient or strawberry ingredient she put in the mix.
Yes that’s correct. I don’t have to move so fast because of the added ingredient which is butter butter makes the candy mixture soft but it is not good to dip them in apples because it will take a long time for that candy mixture to solidify and become hardened that’s why this is made to be baked and not used for dipping apples
I would recommend using the small recipe because the idea of doing the full recipe is to have a full coverage for your popcorn if you use a small Recipe to Covered The Popcorn you’re going to see less coverage on your popcorn
I’m not sure exactly what you did wrong but what product are you using and sometimes if it sees up too quickly and it shouldn’t have because it has butter in it you may have added too much color or the wrong color brand
I use the oven to bake the popcorn in the popcorn has to be baked with the candy mixture if you put it in the microwave it will not come out properly you will be still cooking the popcorn and then at that point you would burn it
Where do you buy the fruit punch flavor from and the red and green food coloring? Can you give a link for it? Thanks enjoyed the video, Merry Christmas 😊
So…I have made this recipe twice…both times the popcorn was soft…almost stale. It sounds crunchy…but when you bite into it…soft 😢. Not sure what I did wrong!

Is a lot of work but worth it ,it looks beautiful if I want gold popcorn what do you recommend I use on the food coloring,TY
Hey Ro what would you recommend pricing upon boxing this treat should be?
When it comes to pricing, it really depends on your market and who you’re selling to how you package the money you spent on packaging and what sizes that you are offering I can easily give you a price, but it depends on what do you plan to offer for your popcorn selection, whether they’re small, medium or large Size served in a bag or a container. @@YourSweetConnection I will be selling it in medium, small and large containers boxes I purchased from Amazon that comes in 24 a pack
Love this...Can i make white candied popcorn?
Yes absolutely
I'm going to try this on my next batch. I make this popcorn but have always wondered how to fully coat it. I'll let you know the outcome. Strawberry will be the flavor
Ok sounds great!
Hi how long does the popcorn last? Can I make it couple days before a party?
The popcorn will last for a week and some days more longer. It’s packaged them. But yes, you can make them days ahead.
Hello can we make this a day or two before and bag it separately. I want to do this for my baby shower next week but don't want to be making it the morning of.
Thank you for this tutorial YSC
Thanks for sharing. I have a question though hope someone can answer if I plan to do them for my son's party can I do them the day before the party? TIA
Sure, keep it in an air tight container. It should still be fine a week later...if it lasts that long, Lol ; )
Absolutely!❤️
If I’m using a stove should I use low, medium, or high heat to cook the mixture ?
And does it have to cook for 5 minutes or come to a complete boil. I tried and I got no crunch. It was chewy.
I use my hot air corn popper, it works great for large quantities . This brings back so many good memories ❤
Do you add the flavor to the sugar mixture? How much needs to be added?
I followed your recipe for full size.. my popcorn is chewy and soft.. what did I do wrong and can I just put it back in the over for another 15 min interval?
Yes, you can put it back in the oven for another 15 minutes but you have to watch it to make sure that it don’t over cook and make sure after each animal you’re flipping the popcorn and make sure the type of popcorn that you use is not buttery or extra butter because it will turn to thin out the mixture
Please what is that 2 thing you put after suger and white drop
I made mines last night, and it came out good.😊 Sorry im not able to show you.
very nice! how long do they stay fresh for?
With this recipe it can last up to two weeks if they’re stored in their package and you can leave them out at room temperature
Hi!! What is the oven temperature?
Hi what if I don’t have unsalted butter?
I only have food coloring and not the white bottle. It's the color you use from the grocery store. Can I use that?
Do I have to put the syrup?
Quick question Ro, I want to pop my own mushroom popcorn...how many cups of popped popcorn do I need for the full 4 -1-1 recipe? 10 cups? The red and green is so festive, ya gotta love it! Merry Christmas from Texas!! : )
This looks so good. Can this costing also be used to make suckered or hard candy?
Can I do this same method but without the corn syrup?
Does it need to be gel color?
Yes
❤💚❤💚❤
I'm a beginner this is the second recipe of yours I've tried, this recipe is amazing I added flavor to my second batch and it was gummy I don't know what I did wrong, but I will try it again. Thank you Ro I love your work!!!
I’m making this but wanted to know how far in advance can you make it without it Getting stale on you
If you cook and bake everything right you can do this two weeks in advance.
Other than the obvious, it won’t last bc you eat it all, how long would this last in an airtight container? Thank you
What should the be in the oven
In the description box it says 300 degrees
Hi :! I was reading the posted recipe and it’s says for the small batch not butter is needed. I just wanted to make sure that was correct 🥰🥰 also I absolutely love you and your videos. You are an inspiration 😊
Hello, oh no my apologies I’ll make that correction, you definitely need butter
I have made it a few times. Sometimes mines burns Sometimes it doesn't. Its weird
Is the popcorn salted or unsalted
Salted
Question? Does the coloring have to be oil based?
No, you can use gel colors, oil based is more for chocolate.
❤

Mine has a crazy amount of juice what did I do wrong?
Hi! I love all of your videos. Thank you for sharing your craft with us. I tried this recipe and after letting it air dry for 10 minutes, my popcorn stuck to the bottom of my cookie sheet. What did I do wrong??

I noticed you didn’t move as quick if making candy apples. Does the butter prevent it from going hard as quickly?
Yes that’s correct. Is this plain or buttered popcorn
Lightly Buttered
Would this syrup make the popcorn gummy like less crunchy
No it’s completely crunchy
So how long will this stay good before going stale
It normally ast for about 3 to 4 weeks
@@YourSweetConnection thanks so much
I noticed you didn’t move as quick if making candy apples. Does the butter prevent it from going hard as quickly?
💖🍿🙌
Hey Mrs.Ro, I have a question! In the small batch recipe do you add butter to the candy mixture?
I would recommend using the small recipe because the idea of doing the full recipe is to have a full coverage for your popcorn if you use a small Recipe to Covered The Popcorn you’re going to see less coverage on your popcorn
So you need to boil for 5 min or just cook it forb5 min?
Boil for 5 mins
Thank you. I apperciate you.
Cook to a boil and boil 5 minutes???
Does it have to be plain popcorn? I mean no butter flavored..or a bag of already popped popcorn
Not really but the less butter it has the better it bakes
my candy mix hardened way too quick. I couldn't even coat the popcorn. What did I do wrong?
I’m not sure exactly what you did wrong but what product are you using and sometimes if it sees up too quickly and it shouldn’t have because it has butter in it you may have added too much color or the wrong color brand
@@YourSweetConnection I used just a few drops of chef masters. I used butter too🤦🏾♀️
Can I use a microwave instead of oven
I use the oven to bake the popcorn in the popcorn has to be baked with the candy mixture if you put it in the microwave it will not come out properly you will be still cooking the popcorn and then at that point you would burn it
Why did I say 411 right as you was saying it ❤️
Where do you buy the fruit punch flavor from and the red and green food coloring? Can you give a link for it? Thanks enjoyed the video, Merry Christmas 😊
Amazon and some Craft stores carry the flavorings and also gel food coloring.
Links are in the Description box
So…I have made this recipe twice…both times the popcorn was soft…almost stale. It sounds crunchy…but when you bite into it…soft 😢. Not sure what I did wrong!
This is exactly what happen to me and I don’t see anybody saying the solution to make it crunchy.. 😢
