I was midstitch when the camera fell over and I did, in fact, rewind to see the tripod fall again, Hahahah! It's the Fiddle and Fall show today! I watch both Story Stitches and Moonshine Stitchery! Great gals! :D Thank you both for being a light in our day, I look forward to your updates weekly. Have a great week!
Hi friends! So good to see your faces again, and I'm so glad you had a great time away with the Crockpot Crew ☺ Hooray for finishes from both of you! 👏 House of Stitches sounds like a really fun shop to visit - I love finding treasures - and the haul you showed was worth the wait for your video. Thanks for your hard work on Stitch-Con invoices and registration, Steph! Excited to be back in Cincinnati next summer 🥰 Happy stitching 💜
Hi Pam and Steph! What a joy to be your new silver friend this week! I am just delighted! Pam, so thankful that you enjoyed the Stitch with me 🍂 and incredibly blessed by your kind words and encouragement as a newbie cross stitcher here. I was in shock last night and my daughter sat with me as we tuned in with big huge smiles over here. It means so much. Also cheering Steph on as she wrangles all the Stitch Con behind-the-scenes. It sounds like no small task, and we are grateful for her hard work. And like everyone else . . . I had a big giggle over the cat/camera encounter. 😂 Always fun to watch your videos and this one was just as wonderful and now, even more so. Thank you!
So great to catch up with you ladies. I had to abandon flosstube for the summer as my schedule was just too busy with school out and everything. I'm very grateful to be back to watching. I am going to the Shepherd's Bush retreat, so it's very exciting to hear you talk about your Utah trip. I can't wait to meet you! Your cats were a hoot this episode.
Thank you Pam and Steph! Looking forward to getting my invoice for my first Stitch con! Will be brave and come by myself but know I will meet new stitchy friends once I’m there ❤
Love your independent thought, Pam! The fabric highlights the classical angel. Love the stitching and finishing you both shared - thanks for the encouragement.
Hi Pam and Steph love seeing you WIP's and finishes and always love to see your stash. You two are a hoot and I love it. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat
So fun to catch up!! Can I tell you stitch con 2023 I found it’s snowing men in a freebie box! Now I need to get it out asap and start stitching 😉 have a great week ❤
I really enjoy using the 'magic words' in a comment! Probably even more than the point for doing them! (Though of course I love that too! I'm not nuts!) So glad you two are back! Loved this video, from beginning to end, as usual. Even the antic kitty portions! ❤
I’ve decided that y’all are crazy, and I love it! Your Mill Hill is so pretty. I’ve just finished the Mill Hill mailbox. Love baseball. Braves fan here!
I used to have a cat who snored aswell, so I can relate, LOL!!! The cat and my hubby used to make the windows shake rattle and roll, I would give up and leave for the couch! My hubby got a c-pap (never got one for the cat), so now sleeping is more schieveable, LOL!!! We miss our GIZMO - some days, I actully miss his snoring - funny memoriees. 🙂
Thank you ladies for the first 11 minutes just what the Dr ordered. I was feeling crap after foot surgery. You two beautiful sole made me laugh. Good job I get stitches out today or I burst them laughing. Can't thank you enough for today.😅
Your crockpot retreat sounded like a blast. Thank you for sharing. I have never seen that Just Nan series so I will NEED to check it out. Thank you ladies for another wonderful video.
OMG…so excited to type GO TIGERS! I have not had baseball talk on Floss Tube…thank you! So much fun but after the last game I had take baby aspirin just in case…LOL.
I absolutely remember the Mar-bek Nativity. It is my someday stitch. It is so beautiful. I did a quilt for my daughter of several Mar-bek Angels. I did a flosstube showing just the quilt. Thanks for the fun on Sundays. It is a highlight of the day for me.
Loved the sneezes! On my first date with my now husband of 20 years,he sneezed and I said "Bless you." He held up his hand and sneezed several more times, ending with a biggie! I learned to wait until the end. Now when I do my one lady-like sneeze, he says, "Is that all you can manage?" I laugh at him. Thanks for all the good stuff you shared!
Glad you both are back, I missed you last week as you are part of my Sunday evening routine. Steph you made me cry when you were talking about your Boston Red Socks, being born on the north side of Chicago my beloved Chicago Cubs did not make make the playoffs as hard as they tried, but since I live an hour away from Kansas City Missouri, the Kansas City Royals by some miracle of the baseball gods did make the wildcard, so I will be watching and hoping they bring a championship back to Kansas City. Enjoy your week and get lots of stitching done.
Oh, Steph. I've lived in Michigan since 2001, but was raised in MA by parents who were born and raised in MA. Definitely a Red Sox fan by birth but the Tigers are kind of my adopted team when they're not playing the Red Sox of the MN Twins (my husband's childhood team). However, MANY years ago, I bought a short in Faneuil Hall that reads on the back "I root for two teams: the Red Sox and whoever is playing the Yankees."
Glad you had such a great time on your crockpot retreat. I’ve been trying to find a mill hill kit since I’ve never done one and of course I find one of a bookstore and it’s back ordered 🤦🏽♀️ I really like your baseball one Steph. I too am a baseball fan. Grew up in Michigan then moved to Colorado and now Florida. Was a Tigers fan the longest. Watching the tigers today in a three game playoff. Also sad about Pete Rose. I had to go watch that documentary Pam suggested and enjoyed it. Right up my alley. I’ll have to watch the one on the Red Sox now. Have a blast out west in Utah. ❤️🍁⚾️
Oh my gosh! Your videos always make me smile and laugh, but today's went above and beyond. Sneezing cat - who knew cats could sneeze repeatedly? And the camera falling down...there's probably never a dull moment at your house! Pam, good luck with the Vickery Collection pattern. I am currently working on Celtic Seasons by the same designer. In my 40 years of stitching, I have NEVER come across so much backstitching!!!!! It makes the design wonderful, but it also drives me crazy so I have to put it away from time to time.
Hi there, good to watch you again. I want to share a little story: Rusty the Red Panda. Rusty is a Red Panda residing in the National Zoo in Washington DC. He removed himself from his enclosure during the night much to the horror of the keepers. A public announcement went out to all citizens ( I like to call it a Rusty alert…) to please watch out for him and call the zoo or even call 911 to give his location. Fortunately a concerned citizen spotted by the runaway up in a tree. The keepers came and got him down safely. He then was put in time out ( quarantine) until he was cleared. He was no worse for wear and returned to his new, higher security enclosure. Happy ending. Happy stitching, ladies 🪡🪡
OK -one of my (many) favorite comments you made this evening was, “As long as the Yankees don’t win….” . I’m with you there. I’m a looong time Angels fan out here in CA - was even at our WS win in 2002. Ahh- memories. I’ve been to Fenway & was awestruck by the history & spirit it holds. My newest granddaughter is named… Caroline ♥️⚾️. Postseason will be fine but here’s to next season.
I actually have that Mar Bek Nativity charts! Some day I will get it kitted and started… I get it with your love and devotion to your Red Sox. This year is MY team’s year, and yes, I hate the Yankees as badly as you do! My team has clinched a playoff berth, and I’m bleeding Royal Blue at this point… on Sunday it’s Red and Gold… so very, very excited to see you at Stitch West in a few weeks! Have fun at Shepherds Bush!
I thought of you two when Joe read this at the end of the broadcast: It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. From A Great and Glorious Game: Baseball Writings of A. Bartlett Giamatti by A. Bartlett Giamatti "The Green Fields of the Mind" I want to do a sampler with these words on it.....
This is just a friendly reminder…please show grace when the invoices go out to those in the affected areas that may not have internet or electricity. It may take them longer than a week to respond. It might not…but who knows…it’s all so devastating! ❤
Just a really weird bit of trivia… When my father was young, he was approached by the Red Sox organization to become a left-handed pitcher for the league. HIS father would not allow it and told my father “you need to get a real job“ my dad ended up, joining the army and fighting in World War II and he was at the Battle of the Bulge where he earned his purple heart. ⚾️⚾️⚾️
Hi there gals.....always such a pleasure to see you. Pam. are you will. Your lips seem super dry and hope. you are not ill with the flu or worse. Your videos are always such a pleasure. Keep up the good work, gals!!!!!!!!!
Granted, this could simply be due to all of the unintentional animal sound effects this week (which I *adore*), but go back and look at the Wise Men pattern again. Now, tell me that middle guy isn’t Beaker with a hat on. And, yes, I know I’m going to hell. But, seriously… (And, just to be clear, I absolutely love the twins and their designs. But once I see it, I can’t unsee it.). And, yes, this Yankee fan will forgive your transgressions, and continue to watch week after week. After all, not every baseball team is good enough to make the playoffs.
OMG, I always get a kick out of your show but Mac knocking the camera at the moment you were talking about Moon Shine was just to much. Aren't cats just fun.
