Surge is the best mech in game IMO. The only challenger for the top spot is redeemer when maxed. Great vid, I think I've run everything you describe here on my surge.
I would say Surge is an allrounder type of mech and it has great flexibility so mortars wouldn't be a tough job for surge because of his stealthy approach.
True but because surge is so good, mortars feel like a waste on him unless you are working on specific achievements. Mortars can be run on practically any mech so normally I like to use mechs which have lesser value in my hangar. But I also think killshot runs mortars better than surge given his shorter dash cooldown and ability to play keep away better. Just my opinion though.
@@scape211 Actually I would say Paragon is seriously an over-powered mech because it is very very flexible for all type of combat situations. But Paragon is very under-rated which is not good for it has a lot of potential to defeat even the strongest of the strongest mechs in Mech Arena
Long time since I saw a best loadouts videos. The best 3 builds for surge at 24 energy are dual dl12, dual em12 and the dual arc 12. The dual arc 12 just reign supreme on surge, u can get group kill, sneak shots longer range kills plus it complements surge ability stealth by causing the shock effect so enemies have way more problem in targeting him. The dual mr12 was another weapon that got shelved by most players, very common before but I rarely see them nowadays on surge, I see more mortars, and carbines then missile rack 12s. Mostly becoz they are in his achievements.
Yea mr12 are not the most common but I think still more common amount too players than RM12s and maybe carb12s. G-jabs did a video on this before and I think mr12s was slightly higher. But honestly all 3 were low. Arc12 definitely is by far the most common.
Its funny how everyone told me how junk Sarge was but I maxed him anyway, then once the buff dropped I already had a max surge and everyone else had to either wait or spend money. I will say the I see almost as many em surges as ArC surges in top end play the 3rd most common would probs be Gravs Great video keep up the great work
What did you do to your arc torrent 12's to make them do almost 100k dmg each? I have the legendary implant skill to increase dmg, and it is also the same level arc torrent as yours.
Might depend on the situation-distance to target, front/side/back damage, etc. all of that factors into the damage values you get. And yes I am against bots who are about 5 stars maxed so they may have lower defense values? I don’t think player level effects the damage done though.
Would Shotgun 8 not be suitable for end game? Looking at the dps they do more damage faster that the Arc 12, then have a drop off due to reloading but that only becomes an issue with the biggest tanks. Also, it can hit multiple targets that are much further away from each other than the Arcs could jump to. With both having almost identical optimal range, 0-20 for Arc and 0-19 for Shotgun The biggest difference in range comes from comparing max range with implants 66.4m for the Arc and 58.5 for the Shotgun. Personally it seems like the Shotgun 8 hugely over preforms on paper so maybe there’s something I’m missing in practice?
Hey scape, I am f2p, end game player. And I use dual arc 10. Though I do want to ho with arc 12s but my surge is at 6* lvl5. Seems so close but it's too far. Those two levels are going to take years. I need 18 + 27 bps!! Unless I pay 10k acoins. But my dream is dual em 12s, but i do not have it, and they will give it most probably at 2 or 3 stars for 10k which itself is another problem. I like ems on fast mechs because it has auto aim unlike longarms, so its easy. Currently I am running 16 on killshot, just for fun my killshot has no other job to do and their is no other fast mech for em16. Btw, you are the most chillest, kindest, nicest, calmest ytber 🔥🔥
Yea you are in a similar boat to most f2p and that’s why arc10s are on this list. They are really common to dual and play on surge. Probably the best f2p option in general unless you get a great opportunity with an event crate rush or something. I would say if you get em12s though, killshot is great for it. I actually see more players running him with em12s than surge. Surge is often times best with arcs due the nature of how they work and surge works. He can get the best value of that consistent close up high damage. Killshot can easily be a mobile sniper if you want that. Just my opinion though. Best of luck getting them! I want them too 😉
For me sg8 surge works well, i have max g lock pilot with max legendary shotgun damage implant.. i can wipe out the whole enemy team in one clip if i can stun them all together
Yea shotguns can be very strong especially in your case with a legendary dmg implant. It’s why you still see shotguns end game especially if you run something light like Tengu. Shotguns are very potent weapons.
I got surge early on like within the first few days of starting the game and was able to up him to 3 stars right away and I put pulse cannon 6 on him. as it was the best weapon I had and I LOVE it! I get so many kills and beacons I get MVP all the time
Yea an early game surge can be VERY strong. Just make sure you keep upgradig him as the blueprints come in or he may fall behind a bit in power. Still either way - grats!

On my alt account(which is only 1800sp) I’ve run into ALOT of early game surges so I had to include it. Sure it’s only from buying but I think people know it’s a great mech to kick a few bucks in on and do. If I had done this video a while back, I would’ve started at 18 energy for sure though.

Great goal! Truthfully, shotgun8s can even be run on surge for end game. I don’t know if I would call it a best loadout to maximize total damage for the energy, but shotgun8s are by far the strongest 8 energy weapon. It’s why if someone runs a light mech late game like Tengu or shadow, you almost always run it with shotguns. Definitely great value for the energy.
Loving my carbine surge used to be arc torrents, but I found myself out of charge way too much, so I swapped arcs to KS with its ability I can use less arc charge, or dash some poor soul while I'm waiting for a recharge, and my carbines reload full mags in 3.1 seconds with my first maxed implant
Interesting! I would likely do the opposite as killshot can more easily shoot at range with the carbs while surge can get in close and keep consistent damage with arcs without retaliation. But both can work and I’m glad you found what works for you 😊
I use surge with railgun 16 And try to keep the target to 1 at a time then stun and back damage one hit them some time 2 shots needed overall works very well

5:25 Are the arc torrent 6 & 10 worth getting? Since there's no AT8 it seems like the only way to put arcs on a 16 energy mech is a combination of those two
Yea it’s not bad. If you get the battlepass, you’ll definitely get arc6 give. It’s strength early game and you have a ton of credits. Arc10 is an iffy buy depending on the rest of your hangar at the point but if you are f2p you are definitely getting arc10. So it depends on the player. That’s why I kinda talked about it that way. It’s not as clear cut as other 16 energy loadouts but is effective if you have those tools.
Agreed. I hope to do more and keep up on it! Tricky with lower ranks or with mechs I don’t have, but I’ll try to take use of the test server when I can!
It depends on when you get them each. DL8s are a good weapon but have a lot of damage fall off as a hangar scales. They also don’t always do enough damage to kill during an emp window. You can have somewhat similar problems with carb8 when trying to scale it, but it generally has more raw dps. And part of its inclusion again is the achievements.

Surge is probably the most OP mech ability imo. They should swap the emp pulse radius, to emp on impact. The added stealth afterwards is a bit much but manageable. All things combined is my biggest complaint. He's already nimble alone.
Depends on you and your hangar. In most cases I would say surge as he’s a top tier mech and Railgun has fallen off the top a bit, but if you are strong on mechs you might need the weapon more. My gut says surge though.

@@ultimategenniX you will absolutely want dl12 and surge for a competitive hangar. However if you need to save for a bit, you might need to do some upgrading to stabilize your hangar to let you grind. Most times you usually have to do stuff like that; get a good hangar to safety grind for your next purchase, make that/those purchases, then safely grind more. It’s a process
@@driqbalahmad6145 at 12 energy (early game i assume) you could put on something like RPG6 or Jav6. Jav6 can work for a bit until you can get a killshot and get it to 3 stars as that's really an ideal build. RPG6 is also very nice as you can corner shoot or poke out to take shots. Both of these builds leans mostly on Paragons energy being high. He doesn't have much hp so you wont want to put him out in the open or brawl much. Hes fairly squishy.

Yea they can be pretty good. Tbh I don’t use them much and haven’t seen many using them so I wasn’t sure on including. But I can see it working similar to carbines and being effective.

@scape211 I respect your builds brotha I love this list but surprisingly I don’t use none of those builds at all bro if I maybe honest I went a different route I USE RAILGUN 16 currently lvl 6/7 star rank 6 and surge lvl 5/7 star rank 6 and if I may be honest it is my most deadliest mech strongest I got him with a purple sniper waiting to get a legendary sniper and I will be able to do max damage but mannn brother I noticed no one uses what I do I am very effective trust bro I have my own style add me we can play
Yea depending on the type of hangar you run or your role in the team, I can see that making sense. That’s why I talked about it. Sure it’s less popular than the arcs but still very strong.
-> Finish Daily Quests for upto 20K Cresits and 10 A-Coins -> Just do Weekly Quests for 200 A-Coins every 3 ~ 4 Days -> Play Torunament for A-Coins, Start 3 Hours before it ends for Highest chance to make it to Top 10 -> Open 10 Fortune Key Loot Boxes for A-Coins and Credits
He is expensive but widely considered one of the best (or the best) mech in the game right now. So he’s at least worth the price tag. But it depends on the player and their hangar/needs
Arcs will let you fire even if you aren’t in range of the target. So if you try to fire at someone 50m away and your current range is only 40m, your arcs will just sputter without connecting shots. Make sure you know the range of your weapons and/or keep an eye on the range indicators in your hud
I mentioned this in the beginning but since I was trying to make this video quicker and say less about each build (since previous best loadouts can drag on in each spot), I didn’t show each build. Just a common one in each category.

Truthfully it’s not one I see beyond bots running. I added in the other beams though (gravs) as they are certainly run. What builds for stasis have you run that you find effective?

Yea it’s good. Many players have also been using Railgun 12s on him endgame. It’s a strong build.

Technically surge has no mid or early builds. They're supposed to be for late game. But you know, could be solved by forking out some of your cash

Most times you usually have to do stuff like that; get a good hangar to safety grind for your next purchase, make that/those purchases, then safely grind more. It’s a process

Paragon is definitely an interesting mech. What types of builds do you think are best on him and should be included when I eventually get to make one?

@@driqbalahmad6145 at 12 energy (early game i assume) you could put on something like RPG6 or Jav6. Jav6 can work for a bit until you can get a killshot and get it to 3 stars as that's really an ideal build. RPG6 is also very nice as you can corner shoot or poke out to take shots. Both of these builds leans mostly on Paragons energy being high. He doesn't have much hp so you wont want to put him out in the open or brawl much. Hes fairly squishy.

Yea they can be pretty good. Tbh I don’t use them much and haven’t seen many using them so I wasn’t sure on including. But I can see it working similar to carbines and being effective.

@@scape211 i hate em gatecrasher it makes you hide behind a wall and then shoots the pod it's ALMOST as frustrating as mortars
@@memeboi3448 since the ability has such a small area it hits and the beam damage is like an arachnos turret, it’s not too bad to dealt with. What’s worse is when they use the pod on a mech: friend or foe.

@scape211 I respect your builds brotha I love this list but surprisingly I don’t use none of those builds at all bro if I maybe honest I went a different route I USE RAILGUN 16 currently lvl 6/7 star rank 6 and surge lvl 5/7 star rank 6 and if I may be honest it is my most deadliest mech strongest I got him with a purple sniper waiting to get a legendary sniper and I will be able to do max damage but mannn brother I noticed no one uses what I do I am very effective trust bro I have my own style add me we can play

Yea depending on the type of hangar you run or your role in the team, I can see that making sense. That’s why I talked about it. Sure it’s less popular than the arcs but still very strong.

i still dont think he is worth to spent almost 10k.i rather spent it on weapons and other mechs then to buy 4(or5)star mech.
He is expensive but widely considered one of the best (or the best) mech in the game right now. So he’s at least worth the price tag. But it depends on the player and their hangar/needs

I'm using dual missile rack 6, it's good.
When I use my duel arc10's they spit and sputter more than anything and 75% of the time I get took out,do you know why this happens?
Arcs will let you fire even if you aren’t in range of the target. So if you try to fire at someone 50m away and your current range is only 40m, your arcs will just sputter without connecting shots. Make sure you know the range of your weapons and/or keep an eye on the range indicators in your hud

Truthfully it’s not one I see beyond bots running. I added in the other beams though (gravs) as they are certainly run. What builds for stasis have you run that you find effective?
