Good suggestions and ideas, so thank you. My father called my mother "Presh", which was short for Precious! Even the grandkids picked up on this and called her Presh, too!
I call him other names have lots of names Fluffy because he is fluffy and I just adore him being so soft to the touch, Ocean for the beautiful ocean water color of his eyes, Teddy Bear because I can't fall asleep without him.
I'm all in for a Term of Endearment, when they're genuinely personal. With my previous husband, I called him Teddy Bear because he was so cuddly and he called me HoneyPot Because he thought I was so sweet. Then there was someone who I called Emperor, because that's how he saw himself and how he wanted to be seen. I think he liked it.
I called mine either David because of his middle name or squishy for so soft soul from inside and out. I was told that he never had anyone give him nicknames like that before ever.

Nicknames can create such a special bond. It’s amazing how the right words can make someone feel cherished.
Thank you for this. I use nicknames often, but I didn't know how important they are. Love it.
