      Yeah... it is the plight of the INTP. I gave a past employer a list of processes and procedures that needed updated based on my observations, as I work in compliance. They ignored it. About 10 months later we got hit with a large fine from a federal regulatory audit that read like a checklist of what I provided. A successful sales person once said, "They don't care about how much you know, until they know how much you care" - Dexter Yeager. In short, certain personality types only listen if they like and know you, INTPs are often not known thus not liked because labeled as weird, those same personality types tend to be in business management.

      Anti-Social is against and has an aversion to social interaction. Asocial is apathetic to social interaction, as in not interested. Being an INTP does not require you to be one of those two. You can favor solitude and not be anti-social, though it could be viewed as the same end result as asocial.

    They can't keep getting away with this! Saying that all INTPs have to fit or relate to 15 or however many number of things. Their are less introverted INTPs, some are less about consuming knowledge and more about putting knowledge and real experiences through their lead cannon. Every type can have mental disorders meaning some might not fit this list. I`m not saying it's bad but it is important to know the spectrum. Also knowing the psychology of how people can type themselves upside-down because they want to be their opposite type. Some people may relate to some topics and then think they are an INTP when they are a ESFJ or any other type. I used to think I was a INTJ, ENTJ, and ESTJ because of videos like these and stereotypes. Also the actual test can be inaccurate because of the lack of spectrum and useage of questions. For example one question talks about if you like art museums. If you say yes it thinks you are more on the feeling side. Even though both sides could like or dislike art museums. To wrap this up just make sure you know your functions to accurately find out what your type is. Also know that the introvert, extrovert, judging and perceiving are only there to tell you what function comes in tne stack. So introverts start with an introverted function first, then extrovert and so on and flipped for extroverts. Judging means your function will be a judging function first, then perceiving and you get the deal. Functions if you don't know: Ni, Ne, Si, Se, Fi, Fe, Ti, Te. If you have read all of this I hope I didn't come of too rude and I hope you learned something.

    I am not certain but: I think I am an INTP. But every time someone says that I, or INTPS are logical, myfirst thought usually is something like, I don't actually use formal logic. I'm not sure if this applies to all INTPS, (my guess is that it doesn't) but, for myself, I find the system of formal logic with its many rules and regulations to be overcomplicated and, oddly, a little inaccurate in some ways. The furtherst I've gotten in regards to studying formal logic was truth tables and then I saw all the calculating I'd need to do to find out what's true or not, And I gave up.

    "What is the source of your information?"
    Who was your mentor?
    Which 16 Types book have you read?
    There is a distinction to be made that LOTS of people who make MBTI videos or videos on "type" seem completely unaware of. Its this: Yes, I'm generalizing but still...everybody-and-their-dog is harping/instructing about FUNCTIONS, and they call it MBTI but it isnt.
    Pick YOUR personal FIVE favorite online RUclips MBTI "content-creators" and I'll bet there isnt one who doesnt talk about FUNCTIONS. But---
    Take yer TOP 5 favorite Type people online. Have ANY of them read "Gifts Differing" by Isabel Myers-Briggs? Im betting not one of them has. I'd be quite surprised. Functions are mentioned in that book, but its short, and brief, almost in passing. Noooowhere near the relentless harping and emphasis we see online today. So where did all this function-stuff come from?
    You also wont find it in the book TYPE TALK by Kroeger and Theussen.
    You wont find it in LIFE TYPES by Hirsch & Kummerow (another researched and leading MYERS-BRIGGS book. We now have THREE authoritative books on type and very very little on functions....again where did all this function-mania come from?Think of the last TWENTY ttype videos you've listened to. Yes, that many. Has even ONE of them listed/mentioned/Named even one of the three books I've mentioned? I'm betting not any of them have.
    Go back to 2010 on RUclips and an ENTJ video by Mike Adams. Here's the link: @
    Do you hear him going on and on and on about "introverted sensing, extroverted intuition, etc? Nope. He talks about "the 4 letters" of type.
    So how did we get to all the stuff we CALL MBTI today, but is really just...Functions. People today talk waaayyy more about functions than Isabel myers-briggs ever did?
    My own belief is....probably a little after Mike Adams's videos, some guy came along who went by the name of Dave Superpowers. AT THE TIME, there was farrrrr less "competition" on the web, alot of people never read or heard of the 3 books i mentioned and many folks had not discovered Mike Adams's videos, either. So-o...many folks simply weren't more aware...and along comes this Dave Superpowers with a large flurry of videos--POW---and, he also spoke a bit too fast. He was kinda hard to follow, seemed like he had info, but no one really challenged him (hardly anyone was doing mbti videos then, compared to now), so folks just bought into it cuz:
    A) they didnt know any better
    B) they hadnt read the books
    C) "dave" had very little competition and made alot of videos so he sorta dominated --and people didnt know otherwise.
    His videos likely were seen by many (not a whole lot else out there on youtube at the time), so people believed it, and from (approximately) 2014 to today, people likely came across his videos, didnt read the books and THEY started making videos about Functions, then some of their followers made youtube videos and repeated what they were taught and so on...and sure enough---
    everybody-and-his-dog is talking about functions these days. But it isnt really MBTI. Its just....Functions. Myers-Briggs was the 4 letters (I refer you back to the ENTJ Mike Adams video which was in 2010. We weren't all strung-out on "Function-itis" then. I haven't heard Frank James mention even one of the three books on Type. Who taught him? Function-mania likely "lasted" til now, because people can always be politically-correct, hold their head up high and say with functions they are "going deeper". It sounds more "beyond beginner level" doesn't it? But they didnt get it from the books. The are "parroting" a guy who got lucky in the beginning and didnt have alot of competition. My opinion.
    Anyone is welcome to prove me wrong. I can take it. I just wish people would call it what it is and be honest. And bother to look. And trace some history. ---"Rock ON!"

      Hey there, thanks for your insight!
      We get most of our information for personality type videos on the 16personalities.com website. Cognitive functions relating to personality types are simply indicators of the different modes of processing information and making decisions, which allows the different types to better understand why they may do some of the things they do. I think this personality type indicator has come a long way since the time it was released, and although some of it has possibly been taken out of context, I know for myself that I can truly relate to the functions described in my type results. Very interesting context for sure. 😊🙏

      First, thanks for Sharing. It got me to think and I didnt know that part before.
      I personally find functions way more helpful then just the MBTI stuff, regardless if its connected in its origin or not. Functions teach me way more about myself and how to live my life then only the type - it gives a logical system that explains type. I just take the information i find accurate out of everything and put the rest aside. I was not interested enough to check your sources, but i will read Carl Jungs books in the future. Regardless, my point is, its good to know if what you say is true, but it doesnt change how i view anything. Just because it wasnt in the origin, doesnt mean its not good, if its helpful/accurate/or giving more information :).

      @501Labsmusic 3 года назад

      The functions that the MBTI is based on was outlined by Carl Jung. Myers Briggs did not do the groundwork for this. Their system is based on Carl Jung's work and his work is based on the functions...... The functions aren't somethinf some dude created on RUclips 10 years ago ... The 4 letters are pretty much useless without them because one letter apart doesn't dictate how a person shows up to the world ... for example an INTP isnt just the introverted version of an ENTP and an INFP isnt just an emotional version of an INTP... these types are all completely different and that cant be seen just by knowing the 4 letters ... you have to know their cognitive functions and how they are stacked to determine how that person will respond to different things

    • @dabbler1166
      @dabbler1166 3 года назад

      @@501Labsmusic You mentioned Carl Jung. But at that "stage", it wasn't Myers-Briggs yet. Considering the 4 letters, Jung didn't even have or deal with the J vs. P . He only used 3 letters.
      Also, when talking about Functions you say: "The 4 letters are pretty much useless without them because one letter apart doesn't dictate how a person shows up to the world." I disagree. It sounds like you have NOT read the profiles in either the book "Type Talk" OR "Life Types". They are quite detailed in "how someone shows up" in everyday life.
      As I mentioned earlier, we have THREE very widely available and researched books (which RUclipsrs never mention, so who taught them?) on Myers-Briggs and 1. Functions are not mentioned in 2 and barely mentioned in the 3rd. And there is still Much more variety in the 16 types than, as you say, an introverted or extroverted version of a type with the same 3 other letters. All the yapping on youtube about functions, came later. Sounds like you haven't read any of the 3 books. But hey, if you're happy with functions, go for it. But I wouldn't call it Myers-Briggs. More like a hi-jacking of it or later addition.

    I always analyze anything; printed, auditory, implied. I don’t buy into anything without looking for logical inconsistencies or manipulation. Most cons are actually quite simple. The con always uses human frailty or weakness to gain foothold. In today’s climate, cons are everywhere from top echelon to the hood. To avoid being conned or used doesn’t require being an INTP. As long as you keep your weaknesses in consciousness and actively build up a sound common sense and frame of mind, cons will be hard to get you.

    No true INTPs are walking around with masks on--outside, no less.

      I’m an INTP, and especially during the heat of things, I’d be willing to wear a mask outside, especially if I’d be in proximity to other people. In the past months, I’ve moved to P100’s indoors; the blue cloth masks are near worthless at preventing infection. I’d be OK with N95 if my voice needs to be easily heard - my P100 makes me sound like I’m mumbling. N99/FFP3 is better than N95, but hard to find. My local library offers free N95’s, and I’m cheap. Hopefully they’re good enough!

      @@EMichaelBall With all due respect, Michael, if after 2 and a half years you haven't figured out or discovered that COVID was a scam--an intentionally perpetrated fraud, then it is highly doubtful that you are an INTP. At the very least one would expect skepticism having observed the painfully obvious inconsistencies, lies, backtracking, omission of common sense, and silencing of dissenting voices--along an urge to dig deeper and find out the truth, rather than accepting the narrative at face value.

      Nah; he’s too energetic and chill to be INTJ. He’s ENTP.

    Is Elon entp or intp? He seems very awkward socially... his dancing is horrific, perhaps worse than myself. Lol

      He has worked 16-hr days for years without a nervous breakdown; that’s impossible for an INTP. He’s ENTP.
