My husband is a Montanan mountain man and is sometimes overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of Disney. I showed him this video and he was so impressed by this hotel that he is willing to take another trip to Disney in the near future (as long as we spend plenty of time in the peaceful parts of the hotel LOL)
@@DavidBlackDisalvo Actually, it does depend on the resort. Since The Wilderness is not that close to a park, they are pretty lenient about parking there. However, the monorail resorts are more particular and may ask to see a dining or hotel reservation. I looked on the Disney website and it does say “standard self-parking is complimentary for day guests while they enjoy select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at Disney Resort hotels.” Not sure how they define “select”. Plus I’ve heard it can depend of the security guard at the gate, how busy the resort is, how big the parking lot is, etc. so I think they allow a little wiggle room in the policy. Also, there are certain lounges that don’t accept reservations, (Trader Sam’s at The poly, for example) so you could say that’s where you’re going, but I’m not condoning lying. Sorry, if that adds to the confusion!
That’s great! The parks can be very overwhelming and The Wilderness definitely provides an escape. Hope you go back soon!

You can just tell them you want to do shopping and they'll let you in without a hotel or dining reservation?
