@@HML_Secondaryduring the beginning of the video, he mentions the satanist or whatever goes at least in part by bin Laden. This happened before 2001, yet he makes a point to focus on the name, and it's almost as if the namesake bin Laden should be demonized because of what one terrorist did. It's an aggravating thing that 'content creators' do in order to drum up sensations. It's a form of psychological manipulation and it is aggravating
I find dark stuff fascinating. Checked out the website a bit before watching the video and man, it's weird and very, very dark. A lot of it seems like gibberish though.
It's like this is some dark scrapbook website, but with tidbits of this man's life,he didn't seem evil, just liked the atmosphere of it. This was really interesting, creepy but I feel there is more behind this.
Now this is quite bizarre. One of the weirdest sites from this period of the internet. But the imagery throughout it were a part of the tragic story told here. I think this guy was deteriorating mentally and physically, but the entire site here is sheer nihilism, and there's a lot of distressing material here.
THIS right here is what I try to explain to young folks about what the internet was like when it first became common in the household. It felt like what I imagine the dark web feels like today. This is a great examination. New subscriber.
This was super heavy but still really good. I hope you are opening some eyes with what you're doing. If where we been and what we've created online cease to exist, then our story (history) can't be properly told.
18:06 I get that it may seem like a “small thing” to someone who’s never lost a close loved one yet (and I’m glad of that for you! Make many happy memories and enjoy every second you have together), but even things outsiders would perceive as insignificant can mean a LOT when you’re weighed down by the heavy load that is grief.
Regarding the chatroom: Unless someone saved the logs to their computer, you’re not likely to find anything. IRC is not like Discord-when you join an IRC chatroom, you won’t see anything old unless the chatroom is set to display the last few messages. IRC programs (like mIRC) can save chat logs as text files to your computer, but if no one else specifically had those saved, you’re sunk.
"Satanic" horror hasn't reallly scared me since I started figuring out how a lot of old Christian ideas came into being. There's also just the fact that a lot of stories written to scare sheltered Christian children basically come down to "a guy you don't know tries to hurt you," which is more interesting with a non-magical, human bad guy.
honestly, out of my beliefs and values I think the website is kinda cool to see the ramblings of just some dude spaced out and talking about short stories/ rituals and other stuff it’s cool ig. I feel like id get funny looks from people just because I wasn’t disgusted with what I saw and observed. However, I haven’t done a clear deep dive into this site. I also visited it with the way back machine just to find any differences throughout the years. Maybe he wasn’t evil or anything but my spin on it is the material shared throughout the site is worth the read. Some is just straight rambling and ehhh some makes me question why im so comfortable with this ?
bin Laden means "son of laden" and its a completely harmless family name. Laden is a fairly common name as well. It's kind of disgusting how you saw an arabic name and immediately associated it with terrorism instead of taking 2 seconds to look it up
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
You know, Anal. Horror is cool and all. But the market is oversaturated. I am more interested in why we didn't get straight up *Dial-Up Internet Horror.* When you think about it, the idea is great. Reminds me of those early 2000s/noughties horror movies on Internet: "Den", Kafkaesque "Serial Experiments. Lain" or even that old tv-series with Paul Bethany. They were cheesy, sure, but I belive after 20 years we can do better.
Please don’t stop making these “Exploring abandoned internet” videos they are your best style of content 1000%
Thank you! I'm glad you like them.
Debunk files did a deep dive where they contacted Infect's widow who has kept the site up. Worth a watch.

I looked into the website when I saw the notification, wow that website is weird. Gonna do more digging after this video.

Imo if you're close enough to dying you're allowed to be a little edgy.
Whoa, that poem you found is a Crowley poem under a pseudonym. I'd never heard of it before now somehow.

Why don't "Satanic" things use the decagram more?
It's got ten points, so it's like, twice as scary.

"It's unknown why he kept the name"
Uh, cuz it's his name and he doesn't need to change it just because some terrorist shares part of it?
Dude I think this guy was worse than Bin Laden. He just didn't have the ability to carry out his sick ideas.
