Bonnie, when you stitch the rick rac down, do you try to sew a straight line down the middle of the hills and valley's, manually direct the stitch line up and down, or have you ever tried to match a built in wave stitch to the size of the rick rac?
Normally I just do a straight line as my projects have not needed washed and pressed after creation (totes mainly). However, I've heard the serpentine stitch does a nice job going back and forth. I'd need to experiment with probably a 10" length to make sure there wasn't too many inconsistencies in the rick-rack. You've done quite a bit of rick-rack from what I've seen, what do you normally do? =)
It varies depending on the size of the rick rac and if the item will need to laundred later. I just wanted your professional method. Thank you. I enjoy your RUclips tips! So much to learn.....still.
How do you get out the bends or wrinkles out of polyester ricrac?
I've been able with a little steam and pressing. =)
Thank you so much... it worked! Yay!
