Rhythms on the Rio Music Festival took place in Del Norte, CO, August 4-6 2023.
This was the 16th year of the festival, the second in its current home in Del Norte, after 14 years in South Fork. The festival is a fundraiser for the non-profit South Fork Music Association, providing musical instruments and instruction to schools in Southern Colorado.
2023 Rhythms on the Rio performers included The Infamous Stringdusters, Kitchen Dwellers, The Motet, Cabinet, The Brothers Comatose, Lindsay Lou, Shinyribs, The Hip Abduction, Larry Keel Experience, TK & The Holy Know-nothings, Arkansauce, Mama Magnolia, Nosotros, Elder Grown, The Morningside String Band.
Bob Hemenger was the artist-at-large (saxophone) and The Bent Ears, Dane and the Soup and Big Techs played the late-night tent.
