People don't use Tera Electric Air balloon Shedinja because it isn't in the game.
*this probably isnt true* but yearsssss ago about 2 years before gen 4 came out, i had drawn a pokedex of my own. My family took a trip that uear to Japan for a couple months. I got to tour a the nintendo HQ in Kyoto. During the time i got to meet Shigeru Miyamoto and even got to give him a copy of my Pokedex. In that pokedex, my starter grass pokemon was a venus fly trap mon with a spherical body and leaf hands and vine feet. Ill never forget that because a couple years later Carnivine was created in put out in gen 4. Im sure its just a coincidence but man its fun to think about sometimes!
Pokémon listens very intently to the fans so it is likely not a coincidence.

About shedinja’s usage, it did come 9th at the 2022 worlds.
And Kyogre is kinda mid this gen because of how many Pokemon wall it this gen

I'll never forget the time I randomly got a Shedinja when I was seeing when certain pokemon evolve playing Emerald and when I read what wonder guard was, I assumed it meant all hits would be super effective on it, not that it can only be hit by super effective moves.

After reading this again: I'm pretty sure the exact wording the Gen 3 games use is "Only Supereffective Hits".

@@PriffyViole That's pretty much what it said yeah, it was specifically "Super effective" hits. Hence that just made me think all hits were super effective. Not once did I actually test it out.
Kyogre doesn't often run Specs anymore, they'd rather give him mystic water.
Also, Peliper is one of the best Pokemon currently in VGC and one of the Pokemon that dunk on Koraidon.

When I first got a Shedinja I thought I was so clever saving up all my moolah to buy me some Max HP up items o ly to finally save up to finally GET one and I found out Shedinja is specifically blocked from me doing that shit.

About shedinja... I don't quite understand why he said that, because shedinja can only be played in National Dex, and in National Dex singles... it is banned.

He's only talking about VGC, which is the official competitive Pokemon format.
The tiering system doesn't really exist in VGC. You have restricted Pokemon and then you have everything else.

Why is your first example for “legendaries worse than Garchomp” Regice? Like the one type of legendary with an objective advantage over it
He's not talking about who would win a fight, he's talking about if it provides decent utility, offense, support, or whatever, and Garchomp provides both great offense and utility with stealth rocks and swords dance, but idk much about why regice isnt very good if I had to guess it's probably cuz it has lackluster offensive capabilities and a terrible defensive typing.
@@amistake7216Regice has a defensive spread of 80/100/200. It may be hefty but 80/100 is not good enough to survive 3 out of 4 of its type weaknesses which are very common move types and are often physical.
It has an offensive spread of 50/100/50. While its SpA is respectable and its moveset allows for it to build the famous BoltBeam combo, "respectable" isn't something you want out of a legendary slot in your team for VGC, or even a team slot in Smogon.
As for its movepool, it's quite offense-oriented. However, if you ask me, Regice is better off being utility-based with those stats but this is still ignoring the fact that it's a pure Ice type.
It's honestly just a combination of so many things working against it at once that makes Regice fall short. I have no idea how it's supposed to play in Smogon but it's near unplayable in VGC even with snow up.

17:45 it’s hair that bunches up and doesn’t stop growing, eventually they get heavy and Mienshao uses them as weights to work out with, and when it really needs to fight it simply cuts the hair off or just bites it off and it’s instantly moves and punches much faster (this needs to be a signature move, let’s petition GF)
I'd watch "Only BSTs under 500", or even lower, Tournaments/Videos.
Something about seeing typically unused pokemon, or even pre-evos (Eviolite banned/or not) just for the variety of team building

Shedinja is my favorite Pokemon in whatever setting offered. I only play in competitive, not compete in competitive, if that makes sense. So, I use gimmick teams just for fun. With my favorite Shedinja team, I love taking Shedinja with the item Safety Goggles into doubles with a (as speedy as possible) Seaking with the ability Lightning Rod. First move, use Soak on Shedinja. Next turn using Flip-Turn to either bring out a Ditto (to copy the enemy or my own Shedinja), or a faster Lightning Rod Pokemon with a better moveset.

Beating Shedinja really just requires stealth rocks, any move that forces the opponent out, and maybe some fire or toxic if they try to Heavy Duty Boots it
Sandslash is my fav but I know competitively it's bad, love Pokemon for what they are. Some are just to look cute, cool or interesting.

Zygarde is insanely strong in singles but in doubles is a bit too slow imo, especially with that 4x ice weakness
As someone who's favorite Pokemon is Pidgeot, I completely understand standing by your favorite Pokemon even if it's bad.
I once did a fire red nuslocke and got wiped at the bridge and my Pidgeotto was the only survivor I took it to the elite 4 and had it deal the last blow to his Charizard as it had been with me since the beginning
@@justinkassel4281 Not saying it cant be used, I use it as often as I can, but if were truly looking at the mon objectively, its not good. Low BST, extremely mediocre moveset. I was glad we had a small amount of time where Mega Pidgeot did kinda increase use, but it was still underwhelming compared to the other megas available. Im really hoping I get to see more Mega Pidgeot in Legends AZ
