My 2022 Talon 3 is still doing great. I upgraded most of the parts and turned it into a 1 by 12, tubeless maxxis ardent tires and Suntour Epixon 120mm fork. On the road or light trails it is an amazing bike.

Someone is offering up the 2018 model for 325 on marketplace, do you think that’s a rip off?

@sbimochan treks/scotts/marin do have hardtail in similar range. Just don't go for Chinese craps

@@santspoudel9739 Cool. But seriously, what difference is it with Talon3/Trek Marlin5 with Trinx M116 elite? Trinx is providing 5yrs frame warranty and has shimano gears. What's better in these Giant/Trek brand beside frame weight? Trinx is providing in more than half price. Very tempting man.

@sbimochan These known brands are better engineered and have way better geometry. The entire bike is made ready by company itself with parts that best fits the needs. A ton of research goes on to it.
While What I have seen the case with trinx is that, only the frame is imported and is customly prepared putting parts which would not fit bikes geometry. That's what's being done in Nepal.
Everything is all over the place since they want to cut costs as much as possible.
Go with good brands, you won't regret.
