People who fail in trading are generally the one who do not have any other source of income and still dream of making 5lakhs from 50k rupees. If you don't have a regular side income or job then don't do trading. Another reason to fail is Setting up unrealistic goals. I saw many people dreaming of getting 20% or more returns daily. Well theoretically it is possible but practically it's almost absurd. I also once made these same mistakes. Now after 3 years of experience I trade only for two days a week and aim for only 5% to 8% monthly returns(sometimes I even get 10%). I am not greedy because trading is not my only source of income, I also have a job. So trade with discipline and trade to grow your money very slowly. If you want to get rich fast in share market then you will lose everything. If you want to make money then you must learn to be patient.

Follow discipline in trading
1. Follow strict risk management.
2. Place sensibile stoploss and Target, exit at whatever is reached first.
3. Stop trading once sl or target is reached. Do not overtrade.
4. Create a strategy with back testing, ur own setup. Do not jump into trade until setup is fulfilled.
5. Do not take tradr if ur setup is not formed, even if u dnt hav to trade dat day. Market is everyday, can trade another day but dont be in temptation.
Market is a strict teacher, it hits u but then rewards too. Nothing of value is ever easy.
I have started my journey from loss to profit after making 3 years of loss. Lets see where it takes.

Excellent video on reality. As far as I am concerned I entered share market towards the end of 2021. I am primarily and investor but also keep taking calculated swing trades on equities, religiously bypassing greed, intraday as well as futures and options. I have been blessed to have generated as of now in the range of 18-22%.

Yes, intraday, f&o may not be profitable in the long run. However, Swing & positional trading works wonder though. Long term investing too may not be for everyone as it needs indepth study. Being fundamentally strong alone is not enough. If growth is to be seen then its important to follow up the stocks consistently which needs lots of time and research. Cant just buy and forget. Ultimately, no one system is guaranteed in the long run. So personally I do both long term and swing with SL for both but with quite different strategy. Tbh Luck do play an important role in the matket.

What you are saying is definitely true sir....I came to the market with the intention of making money which later turned out to be making more money... Honestly speaking, I made a good profit from F&O without realising that I am paying charges more than the profit I was making..In case I make a profit of 30 thousand by trading 4 days,it will take only 1 day to lose the profit along with the charges.Out of 10 trades,If I successfully complete 6 positive trades and 2 negative trades..The loss of 2 trades will be more than the profit of 6 trades(F&O).I lost 80k without realising that 35k I paid charges and 45k direct loss.Then, I realised that F&O is partly a gambling and depends on luck factor as well so I shifted from Trading to investment...Then, I started doing swing trading wherein I gain 1.5 lakhs in just 1 month from 6 lakh capital... Currently my investment in stocks is negative and is running 80k loss and it is not a loss until and unless I booked which is unlike in F&O
