That was a long one but loved every minute. Your socks motivated me to knit some later in the year. I've only knitted tube socks, but I think I can manage a heel. I really liked seeing all the different frames and mounting styles. I'm late in starting the SALentines. I was very surprised and impressed that all edges of the linen was serged and the box included trim.

I'm right there with you on the whistling. My grandfather used to drive me up the wall with his whistling. He rarely even knew he was doing it. When my son was little, he was fascinated by my grandfather's whistling. He would spend hours with him trying to learn. When my grandfather passed away, my son hadn't quite got it but he was determined to learn. He was about 10 to 12 years old when he got it perfected. Now he whistles without even realizing it and it's a very similar tune as my grandfather's. It drives me up the wall still but now I see it as my grandfather's way of poking me from heaven. ❤

All the framed finishes were amazing... I am going to be looking to have a piece framed in a month that is 342,300 stitches... I am definitely going to ask if they lace... it has taken me 3 years, not monogamously stitching... but still, to stitch her and I want it framed right! I appreciate the explanation between pinning & lacing. To have the tiny piece of fur from Luna visible in your piece will be more of a treasure once she is no longer with you, I know this because my pup had eaten one of my cross-stitched ornaments, I still have it and I put it on the tree every year and think of her sweet face! I'm still knitting on my sock!

Hi Ladies. I was so happy you highlighted Darlene's book. I worked with her at a cross stitch shop in Raleigh, NC before she was well known. She taught a class for a beautiful small sampler full of specialty stitches. This was in the '80's and it's still my favorite sampler. Darlene was so incredibly talented and so nice. 😢❤

I can’t remember if it was the bear or the cabin which was last - so I’ll give you both. The Honey Thief was $417 CDN (the matting was boxed and expensive, and they also used the nice art glass) The Moonshine Cabin was $330 CDN - also intricate matting and art glass. Perfectly finished. I think the Bear was also laced - I didn’t get a break down of fees. Thanks!!

Was it the Santa? I’m afraid my memory isn’t that great for videos from a while ago. I do try to put the info on the patterns we show in the description box - so maybe it was there? Can you tell me what the subject matter of the piece was?
