I Love this!!!!
oh god, this is something you hear one time and it gets out of your ears NEVER AGAIN. i LOVE this tunt and theres never "i have enough". a real "best song of all times". phantastic melody, phantastic musicians. playing like a machine, on and on....
You are wonderful. A beautiful music on mandolin.
Love it!
Wow, that is some serious tremolo!
a phantastic combination of mandolin and fiddle with perfect rhythm . reeb, the machineroom.
this tune was written by deford bailey, probably in the late 30s or early 40s. but caleb is playing the monroe version, which is very different from balleys, almost note for note, and doing a marvelous job of it. well done by the whole band keeping it dead centered in the groove.
I would not say it is note for note like Monroe played it. But yeah, Bill Monroe was the first to move the tune to the mandolin in the early 1940s and Caleb's version here is definitely inspired by that earlier Grand Ole Opry performance. I actually have started playing it Caleb's style as it is easier to keep your place in the B-part using his style.
Reeb looks Preggy
I don't see that here, but she and Caleb do have a son.
