@@theultimategamer95 yea, mainly this time after defeating the almagamate, Mr. Dark decides he has enough and he shall defeat Rayman himself, and in the second phase, his moveset is based on Rayman for GBC but the twist is he doesn't die in tree hits, but rather more than that, especially fighting Dark Rayman in a 2D shoot em up, Mr. Dark entering his newer form known as Mr. Darkness, and finally, his soul known as Mr. Darks' Spell Card where it becomes bullet hell
Nice boss run! Although I always seem to think that some of the bosses in this game are quite pixely in the body but the hands and feet are high quality.
The GBA music is mostly painful, but that one is surprisingly the most chill and dare I say better than the original, at least I like it better, except for it on the boss battle.
I see why you like the GBA port of Rayman 1 but the screen is too small, you have a extra hit, they reuse some themes like the final boss theme too much, and the bosses are TOO easy!
Is it just me or is the GBA version easier than the ps1 version ? Plus rayman redemption I really love the best love some of the new music love actually fighting mr dark and other things
The GBA version is easier. But the maps are a lot of leaps of faith due to the small screen so don't think the game is overal easier on the GBA because you often have to die just to learn where some jumps are to make for progression
Man, they really ruined Moskito. I mean, it's not actually Moskito, it's just Bzzit. Moskito is supposed to be the evil one. Plus, the PS1 had a much wider screen, so you couldn't just spam him, because he flies higher.
Mr. Dark is a shapeshifter. He transforms into mixtures of the previous bosses. That's why his icon is by the health bar. The Atari Jaguar version shows that he changes form a bit better than the other versions.
The GBA version is really, really bad. It misses a lot of content, the music sounds awful and the bosses are way easier, you need to play the PS1 version, that's the final version of the game.
Imo: Content - Eh, "a lot" of content is kinda pushing it, isn't really that much. Music - Personally love both game's OSTs (hate all you freaking want)
I think you're misunderstanding me about the music, the music is NOT bad, it's the sound quality. Of course the PS1 version is better in that regard, the limitations of the GBA just do not make the OST justice. Yes, it does miss a lot of sections, you don't even need to complete the game 100% in order to reach the final boss, but that's just my opinion. I'm glad you liked it, though I'd rather play the GBA version of Rayman 3, I love that one!
Rayman redemption be like: *actually fighting mr dark and his other forms, especially his spell card*
I really respect them for doing that in Redemption tbh.

Also I hate space mama
Just because I didn't enter the fight with full health, doesn't mean I took damage.

the theme that plays when you fight mr.dark (final boss) is called cloak of darkness so why did they use it so much in the gba version?

Your fighting reassembled bosses instead of mr. Dark himself.
Some say mr dark himself
Mr. Dark is a shapeshifter. He transforms into mixtures of the previous bosses. That's why his icon is by the health bar. The Atari Jaguar version shows that he changes form a bit better than the other versions.
Man the bosses' sprites in this port look kinda awful
Its the GBA screen resolution. 😅
