  • Sometimes a very elegant solution can cause more problems than it solves.
Raymond Chen, of course, has the story.

Sir, I have a problem that has literally been pulling my hair out of my head for 2 weeks. My company has switched to windows 11.
The problem is that in windows 10 after setting up automatic .pdf .rtf files for programs, when downloaded they would open over the browser window automaticaly, the doctor would print the prescription and close the file.
In windows 11 the automatic opening of files by adobe reader/libre/word applications does not work, the file just "stays" on the taskbar and flashes until you click on it. Restoring this functionality as in windows 10 would help many hospitals in Poland to work more efficiently.
    Regards, Jhny

      It's going to be a USB-C-only future.

@@tusharsnx Except for the fact that a USB-C cable doesn't have to support any of the features that are typically touted as wins for USB. This includes support for USB itself.
