I'm new at all this.
Hes getting double the amount of color tube while at the same time having a layer of clear over top of the color to protect it from boiling or flame chemistry.
This is why i quit lampworking. Making just a color tube takes an hour and people want to buy the piece for 30 bucks its crazy.
