This is one way to troubleshoot a Ram backup camera that has stopped working. I left my LCD Screen dirty just to mess with people! lol. Hope this helps.
Must be the act of the terminals scraping together removing any oxidation on the contacts and establishing a better connection on fresh metal. I'm going to try this tonight since my camera stopped working this morning.
That sucks! I have had folks message me and say that they had to remove power to the radio and "reset the info-tainment system" I am not sure what that means exactly. But i bet the ram forums have a few threads about it. Good luck!
That’s what happened to my 2020 Ram and they replaced the camera. It worked fine for like a year. Now it works but once in awhile the camera stops working for a day or two then it comes back so it’s hard to see what’s wrong because every time I want to take ot to the dealer ot fixes it self for a few months
Yep, I had the very similar experience. I used Loctite Dielectric Grease on mine to make sure moisture isn’t an issue. But overall, these have a strong history of flaking out.
@@longwordwithnospaces it’s probably something more related to software . Mine seems to go out when it’s summer and it’s very hot I’m in florida and it seems to happen on summer
Worked like a charm!!!
What cargo camera do you have I have a 2020 ram 1500
Strange, how would just unconnecting it and reconnecting it solve the issue?
