During the beginning part of the pandemic I started watching a lot of planner channels and loved how the spreads looked from you and others so I bought my first happy planner and sticker books. Now my daughter says I'm obsessed. I bought 5 happy planners and 3 erin condren planners. Of course I shared them with her. Plus I work on a computer all day and don't want to have to go on it or my phone for my plans 😊

Yes, I love that! It is so calming to switch off the computer and turn to good ol paper and a pen for planning!

Totally agree with you on using paper planning!! I use my phone for important events so that I dont forget. I use a timer to let me know that I should leave the house so that I'm not late.

I LOVE paper! Mindset is a big one for me. Using a computer is associated with work for me. Also love stickers and using my hands. The idea of” opening” a planner as I would a book is another one for me!! I use Google to share info with my hubby… that is all! Lol

I have created my own custom planner using a spreadsheet app. I can add different sections that meet my needs. I found a nice three ring binder to keep the current month and next month daily pages along with monthly calendars for the next 12 months.

I started using HP at the beginning of this year. I use a monthly for my brick & mortar store, a classic dashboard for daily life and side hustles, and a mini dashboard for a special work project. I had been using Staples Discbound planners for the last several years, but ran into a clearance aisle FULL of 2020 planners at the end of 2020 and figured I would just redate! The monthly was easy! I ended up exchanging the 2020 homebody for a 2021 plant theme when it went on sale, but picked up a different homebody to redate for 2022 after watching you, and a few other folks! I just couldn’t deal with the blah pages of a staples arc planner anymore! I love the variety and creativity that the HP and RUclips universe has given me. I WANT to use my planner instead of just needing to use my planner. Hope that helps you with your research 😉

Seven years ago one of the apps I was using crashed and I lost everything. I decided to go back to a paper planner and started using a traveler’s notebook with inserts . A year or two later I moved into a Hobonichi Weeks and never looked back.

I use both. My daily schedule is digital because my husband and I share the information for daily scheduling. Days for us change frequently as I am retired. My paper planners are used for Catch-all, Spiritual practice, Writing My Autobiography, and planning the Business we will be promoting soon. Also, classes I am taking, notes and information, and crafting.

I love this video. I too am glued to paper planners. I do use a Google calendar to record my work meetings which are also kept in Outlook. But that way if I'm out running around and I get an alert that I have a meeting coming up I can get home for the meeting. I discovered happy planner about four or five years ago and at first didn't do the decorating. But once I got my first sticker book I was totally hooked.
Also for me I have found if I write something down whether it be a to-do list or an appointment, it is more likely to be remembered and accomplished.

Not only can a digital planners be deleted, but it can be hacked. Someone can stalk you by knowing your digital calendar. 💖🌵😷🌞

I have used both. I started with a paper planner because that was all there was, then I used both when the Palm Pilot came out. I have been back and forth for decades, but the only thing that has remained the same is that when I tried a new digital planner, I always had a paper one as a backup. I never regretted having the paper planner, and that is what I use exclusively today.

I love this video. I am so glad I found your blog. I agree with you, I love paper planning over Digital. When the pandemic happened, I stopped using my planners, I wasn’t doing anything, or going anywhere. I started using the calendar on my phone; big mistake for me! Too often I would forget to hit “add” and then when I would go to look up my appt. it would not be there! I am glad to be back to paper planning! Thanks for your video.

I’m all about the paper. I will say that I use my phone to set reminders/alarms for things happening at a certain time because I don’t pay attention to the time (and sometimes don’t know what day it is), but if it’s not written down on paper, it didn’t happen.

I have always been a paper planner. I’m completely onboard with all of your reasons. I started planning before the digital age was. I found creative planning which I began using as an escape when I was battling cancer. I fell in love, and I’m still at it.
