Seiko v157 vs v147 date change

I agree that the crown tube's threading could be more robust, but I find it helpful to use the same method to prevent cross-threading as I do for any other application: press in while rotating it counterclockwise, until you feel a slight click. That will set the threads- keep the pressure on, and then slowly turn clockwise. This will almost always work, just go very slowly after the click, and try again if it doesn't go easily.

147 is 2 jewls as well, its probably the same movement with the only difference being the date placement

I even think it's the exact same movement. The 147 is justed tilted a tiny bit downward. Thanks for watching.
