Question for you experts out there - the 6 digit reference # was used in the 80's and the 7 digit reference # was used in the 90's - correct?

The 5600C, take the back off and there is a trimmer capacitor screw, which is used to alter the accuracy. Beware though, a turn of 15 degrees equates to abt 10 sec/month. I used the video method and got several of my older Gshocks to 1 to 2 sec/month accuracy quite easily. 😊

can anyone tell me if all Aqualand (from the 90's) C0xx Titanium's have dark bodies (black) or did they also sold lighter (grey) colored titanium body versions? where can I find more information on the specific titanium versions that were made?

the color of the original micro bulb was most similar to amber. I would be very happy if LEDs of this color were used in the newer DW-5600 watches.

Michael J. Fox also wore this watch while starring as Alex P. Keaton in "Family Ties" which was his 1980's TV series. It looks like from around Season 3 into end of the series in Season 7 he wore this same model Casio CA-50 watch. If you go onto RUclips and look at clips of Alex P. Keaton (Michael J. Fox) from the later seasons of the series, you'll see he's wearing this watch in almost every episode, and with all his dress suits I must add hehe. It looks like the first two seasons he's wearing a Casio CA-80 or something like that. A lot of people relate this watch to Marty McFly, but I also relate this watch to Alex P. Keaton too hehe. The Alex P. Keaton character personna was an opposite to the Mary McFly character personna for those that don’t know of the show. Alex wore only dress clothes or suites even as a teenager (with his Casio CA-50 watch lol), he was an economics major and was a child prodigy, and he hated Rock N Roll music instead only listened to Jazz and Big Band.

Thanks for the video. Got a 5600c back in 1992 (901). Paid New Zealand $150 I think? Three original bezels and strap later I got the bezel and strap set from seller on eBay. $$ well spent IMO as I'm pretty sure Casio no longer make these? It's very cool someone does!! Mine survived 20+ years of painting and plastering (paint, thinners, dust etc). Thrashed hard and all the functions still working including the candle light ! 😂😂😂😂

Hi, first of all congratulations for this amazing collection. I'm quite surprised you don't have any steel bracelets (maybe you do now).. i have a C022 two-tone from 87 with an original bracelet and while the aqualand is iconic with its rubber strap (considering also that it's a technical watch), i must say that the bracelet surely makes the whole thing heavier but it's actually pretty comfortable and not bulky and "invasive" as the strap.. also, it really changes the look of the watch, i love it. I'm a bit confused about something you say around the 9 minute mark.. you say that they started making the 2nd gen in 1991 and you won't find any aqualand 1st gen for example for 97. Are you referring to some specific 1st gen models or all of them? I have a friend with a two-tone 3******, so considering the watch launched in 85 it cannot be 83, hence 93 for sure. What is the exact timeframe of the aqualand 1 production? 85 till what year they completely stopped making them? Thanks in advance.

Good evening. Thank you for explaining the calibres. I think that I finally understand the differences. 😄 Would you perhaps know where I can find and download a manual for the C022? The PDF manual that I did find is for calibres C020, C021, C023, C026, C027 and C029. Oddly it does not mention the C022.

Marvellous collection of parts! I was pleasantly surprised to find out how simple the circuit board for this Citizen is. Which means it will be easy to clean and identity any dead spots should sensor, LCD or analogue fail to work when replacing batteries.

From what I see in flea markets, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find something of value or of known brands. Even the sellers have woken up and the few digital Casio, Seiko etc. from the 80s are displayed separately and not in the pile. The good stuff unfortunately is on eBay or similar where it becomes difficult to buy at acceptable prices (especially because if you have been ripped off you find out when you receive it).
