- I'm not holding back on my views on preparedness in this video, sharing my thoughts, essentials, some sources for why I'm concerned, and more!
For our family of 6, I do a lot of shopping with Azure standard and ALDI, and get as much as possible from a local farmers' market. I tagged along with my mom to Costco to see what I could find to fill out our LTFS - and I found some great deals!

I'm Steph, wife of John & mom of 4 living on a 5th generation homestead. My husband's great-grandparents bought this farm in rural Missouri in 1942. My husband was supposed to take the farm over after high school - but he decided to go a different direction and moved out on his own. At that time he said he'd never get married or have kids. But here we are - 4 kids later and back on the farm. I grew up in town - so farm life has been a new adventure for me and I absolutely love it. I'm learning as I go and opting out of as many broken systems as I can along the way. We've lived here almost five years now, we homeschool our kids here, raise and grow more of our own food all the time, and our last baby was even born here on the farm - my first home birth. Back just a few generations ago it's how people lived :) their cellars, barns, etc were stocked and prepared :)
SHTF can be something as “small” & personal as a job loss, illness, etc. Our preparedness is now getting through the second job loss in almost a year.

I believe the Lord is laying on many of our hearts to do this. There is no other explanation for it. I’m 53 and there has never been a time in my life that I felt such a strong need to learn how to make cheese, sourdough pancakes, pressure can food, garden, take herbalism classes, and keep chickens. I may even like it. For me it feels like it may be a necessity at some point. Weird to say but true. Also I absolutely love the fact that many young women today are learning these skills and finding value in caring for their families! It’s a beautiful thing! Keep it up mama!
57 here...and learned to make sourdough bread! Love it! Next up...laundry soap, bar soap. Can't wait for tonight's show!

This is the first video I’ve seen of yours. I found it refreshing to see a young voice communicating the real life realities that so many are unwilling to see (young and old alike). Your approach to not live in fear but be prepared is also spot on. We can’t control what happens in the world, but in most ways we can control what is happening in our home. We have been fed a lie for a very long time and I’m sad to say that I was one of those who would say, “that will never happen in America”. Sadly, it not only is, but has been for some time. I had a complete awakening starting in 2016 and wildly awakened in 2020. Some will hear and do nothing and other will act upon what they learn. It’s encouraging to see a younger generation who can think for themselves and see what’s really going on. Thank you for sharing.

Totally on the same page. I'm in the uk and I felt God said what will you do if the food isn't in the shops and the stores are empty..so ut has motivated me to grow my own and learn to homestead and to be prepared. God said my children perish for a lack of knowledge. He will keep us in the coming times. God bless you and yours.

Thank you for speaking truth. My cousin and I and a few other people in our tiny town have been educating ourselves for a number of years. Thank you for all the solid information that you provide to help us thrive, and be sovereign🙏
Fully agree on the subject of preparedness and knowledge too. I started two years ago on being prepared. Had husband build me a bunch of shelves in a big closet downstairs and started a garden, sticked up on jars and lids, and taught myself to can and preserve our food. Eventually added on food grade buckets with gamma seals, added an additional up right freezer. Started buying and extra one, two or more of staple items when I grocery shopped instead of the usual amount. And above all learned when to buy what to buy at its lowest sale prices. End up with a year supply and it has served us well. We live in mountains of Maryland so we gets lots of snow several times a yr (3-12 times a winter) so a fully stocked pantry, freezers and houehold supply closet has served us well. Especially when we are snowed in and also when my husband lost his job after 20 yrs, we lived just fine for 3 months before he started his current job. We are now in the restock process like every year at this time.

You are not crazy, you are also not alone in this. Thank you for speaking up and showing how you prepare for your family. Very helpful, you can also make brandy from apples, raisins and sugar to trade. Trying to figure out how to get water from our well without power and if we run out of fuel to run the pump.
It's really refreshing to hear a woman talk so openly, honestly, and realistically. I have little family or friends, just me and my dogs. This world is going through massive change. Alot of people are unaware or just plain in denial and or consider inflation to be temperary . It's not going away any time soon and will probably get worse. I recently started to decide not to be afraid of it but to get educated on how to be more prepared to keep my self and my dog kids fed / Alive if we suddenly or gradually lost all of our luxuries like grocery shopping and resources like heat ect.. so I'm getting back to basics and been baking my own meal from scratch , bread, making laundry soap living more frugal life style, stop buying makeup pallets and buying things we can use or trade to keep us living comfortably incase the worlds gets to that lifestyle , moving out of the city and buying land with a smaller home ect.. and to stop living beyond our means. I'm a new subscriber and just wanted to say I absolutely love your channel have learned so much!! 🧡🍂

I've watched Mike for many years! He has some great interviews. Being prepared is responsible and allows us to care for others and our own. Wish I could turn the clock back to when my 5 kids were small. Enjoy this time.

This video was so informative on the side of making yeast from scratch. I am one who has been prepping since last year and now I am trying to learn things, such as how to make things I need from scratch. I believe in taking my power back over what I eat or put on my body. The more I learn what is in our food and products, it makes me very sad and determined to take my power back. Love the video!

Love this video!! So many awesome ideas here. Please be careful using the Pyrex on the stovetop. They’re not meant to be used that way and I had one literally explode on me while stirring it 😳 I was warming milk & butter in it and it exploded and milk & butter went everywhere. I’m 100% convinced God shielded me - even though I was standing right over it, not one piece of glass or hot liquid touched me! 💗😭🙏🏻 They are oven safe, but not stovetop!

Hi Steph, I'm glad I found your channel, I'm 60 and I have 5 grown up children 3 boys 2 girls, they are good and successful human beings, thank the Lord! I have a almost 2 year old grandson whom I love so much, I admire that you home school your children, I would love to be able to spend more time with my grandson, however, his mother is a very difficult person (to put it nicely) and uses him to manipulate my son, but I won't get into that.

I just found your channel, just want to say, I love your content. Everything you are saying is not fear mongering. To assume that everything will always be fine doesnt make any sense even if the all of the shortages and inflation craziness wasnt in the works. I grew up jn the country and wildfires, power outages, crazy winters, would often keep us from getting to town for weeks at a time. I believe that its better to prepared than be caught with your pants down lol. Especially having kids, im currently pregnant with #5 😊, its our job to make sure that they are okay. Maybe you are being called to not only get your family ready, but by posting snipits into the older way of doing things, it will remind the right people that it is something we all should be thinking about and preparing for as well. Thank you for sharing.

You are spot on with your content today!!! I also am prepared. It's crazy so many people have no clue, and when you tell them, they look at you like your nuts. Well,🤔 we will be the ones the unprepared come to when this all hits the fan. I also am not worried. God has given us a plethora of examples in His word. I absolutely love what you're saying, so I'm super sorry to comment a possible correction. I used to use baking soda to brush my teeth and my dentist (who didn't know I was using it) told me somehow I was brushing the enamel off my teeth. She asked what I was using, as this was a huge change and she'd been my dentist for a decade. I won't use it for brushing teeth anymore. But, you're amazing! Thank you for these videos!
