Hi there, love the content. I have a question for you, firstly I’m planning on starting my own breeding program in about 18 months. I have a lovely Whippet she in now 15 months old. I used to train dogs and know what happens when breeding is not done well. My question, is there a way to encourage motherly behaviour is a dog? Daisy does show some motherly behaviour to her older brothers (2yr mini foxy and 18yr King Charles, yes 18 years). I know that it is important for the female to be mature enough before she has pups, but I’ve seen some females with everything going for her show no interest in her pups. It’s probably an unfounded worry, but any tips would be appreciated. Thank you.

The way you introduce and keep pups with mum rather than seperating them is key to making the bond
