Never thought about this but it is so true. You see people posting on LinkedIn daily about their achievements or while around other people, you think to yourself, how successful you are already compared to them. If the message hurts than it means it is true and I have definitely fell victim to this mentality. Thank you for the reminder and the realization, what have I really achieved? It doesn't have to mean money or fame, but rather am I delusional for thinking myself better than others and feeding my ego - definitely yes.

Luckily for me, I pretty much regard most people as idiots and see no value in their praise or judgement. I look at objective measurements when I’m evaluating my progress. Like have I doubled my net worth in the time frame I set out to do so? Having a friend stroking me off telling me I’m doing good doesn’t matter. I think it’s weak tbh. Numbers don’t lie.

I completely agree with you. If you want to release quality content with philosophical ideas that are rejected by the mainstream or the majority of the population, you can't do this for a living because you won't earn much or you have to sell your beliefs for money.
