Great skydraw dude, if you can't draw your bow quickly and without sky drawing then lower the pull lbs. Not a big fan of that first shot on the caribou either but good hunt.
Never seen an animal legitimately dropped on the spot from a body shot. What a great shot, and a beautifully made video showing these awesome creatures.
Stop watching hunting videos if ur just gonna dislike it. Us hunters arent gonna stop no matter how much you tell us to. Mabey you should hunt too and see how cool it is.
This is how MAN was made to hunt. To all the people who are hating on this, how do you think your chicken, your bacon, your porkchop, your hamburge, your hotdogs and your steaks are killed. Its definitely not like this. They are raised then killed. Head chopped off for chickens, lambs, pigs and cows hung by their feet upside down then their throats slit to bleed out to keep the meat tender. So just remeber how you eat your meat how to was raised and how it was killed. Then remember how this animal lived free, died a good death.
THINK OF THE CLOTHES ON YOUR BACK, THE SHOES ON YOUR FEET, YOUR WALLET, OR POCKET BOOK, LOOK AROUND YOUR HOUSE, YOU WILL FIND SO MANY THING'S COME FROM THESE ANIMAL'S . AND REMEMBER HUNTER'S ARE THE BEST CONSERVATIONIST'S , AND ANIMAL LOVER'S WHO SPEND BILLION'S, MOST OF THIS MONEY GOES TO CONSERVATION , SO REMEMBER THIS AND ASK YOURSELF WHO ARE THE ONE'S THAT PUT IN THE MOST, NOT JUST WORD,S , BUT THE FIELD WORK, AND FUND'S . THE LOVER'S OF THIS BEAUTIFUL WORLD WE LIVE IN.. -} ODDIE RED {- P.S. THE BRACKET'S AROUND ODDIE RED ARE TWO BOW'S AND ARROW'S , AND THE WORD ODDIE IS WHAT I CALLED MY WIFE, SHE IS WITH GOD, LOST TO BREAST CANCER, 5 YRS AGO, THE WORD RED IF FOR ME, I'M CHEROKEE INDIAN..... IF ONLY WE ALL COULD LOVE, AND RESPECT EACH OTHER WE WOULD HAVE SO MUCH FUN
Brother, I'm a Brazilian ... congratulations! I have been with you for a long time and I love your work. I dream of someday having such a bow, I said dream because I am from a humble situation and they are dear to me! but in the meantime I enjoy your videos with all these friends there! a hug and good luck there in the next hunts! health to you and family! if someday you are going to draw one of these, put me there in the draws so that you and your followers have the chance to win one too! God bless you and your family!
We NEVER abandon our kill..We pack out as much as 500 lbs of boned meat and it never goes to waste..Not as much as 10 lbs. We sometimes pack out over 10 miles on foot. It never went to waste.
Keith Sage With all these no sayers it's a wonder u post the vids. Or just do the vids without the comments. Because u should not have to explain urselves all the time. By the way I hunt with a Bear bow also and love it. Thx for the vid.GBU
As a native American in Canada. I prefer caribou over moose. Caribou is more tender, moose Is a bit tough in my opinion. sadly i live in the south part of Canada and haven't had caribou in about 10 years. I absolutely love caribou. so so good.
I don't get it, he was moving around so much and the bull or the caribou didnt even spook. All the movement that was placed during this hunt is unbelievable.
Great to see Bear bows being featured. Usually you see the Hoyt's and Mathews, even PSE getting love but it's great to see Bear get their recognition! Great bows. I shoot the Authority and I love it!
To the best of my knowledge, that was a spine shot. I'm very curious to know if that was intentional. Good hunters know the kill zones at the vitals for various animals, so, I'm just really wondering how this particular devastating shot was chosen: or was it a fluke. Great footage btw. Thanks!
Viking-Raider... I've never seen a spine shot moose; so this was a first! It likely took more than 1 and more often than not (and you probably know this) the shot is misjudged and or the broad-head decides on a different trajectory after it impacts and encounters "whatever" medium (RIBS often, shoulder blade/bone sometimes)... I've never spined an animal with a bow and had to put them down, but I have had to take more than 1 shot... in this case, a cow elk due to a shot just above the lungs and just under the spine. The second shot was longer than I like but was "on the money". I was somewhat amazed to see the Moose in the video fall. After watching the 'bou hunt though; I think he musta been pulling 80+lbs! Looked like it took some effort! No offense to the shooter, it's just I'd rather be accurate than high powered. My first Bull elk was taken with 63lbs at about 20 yards with a pass through. First Black Bear at around 12 yards with a ham and out the lung shot at 57lbs (he went 15 yards). Deer and Elk I believe are the toughest 2 of the big game; with HEAVY emphasis placed on the adrenaline within the animal. If they are calm and get taken... they go less distance, seem to cut and taste better after the fact; and, IMO take less tracking (something I'm not fond of!) If you don't know how to track, shoot a rifle (DRT); where legal, track with a Dog, and perhaps most importantly, KNOW your realistic shooting range! REM7600
in my experience as a bow hunter I've never seen an intentional spine shot on a moose. I would just say missed main target or other variables came into play.
I'm thinking moose meat is tough, comparable to camel except of course if you cook it well. We don't have moose in East Africa but similar ones. Thanks for the video, I wish I can join you guys.
The three guides and two camp workers helped carry out all the meat. It was hung it in the meat house and then cut up, wrapped and split. We even gave some meat to the pilot. I thought there may have been a method to the madness.... Generally you would avoid hitting the spine as it's a bit less humane? A good shot in the heart and he would've dropped in no time.
exactly "not to be smashed by the moose" because if the moose murdered you for food you probably would think that wasnt right. big dumb animal kill a man for food. very sad. yet without your weapon thats what you would be. but with your weapen thats what the moose is. fucking coward
spine shot can drop them on the spot. even shot in heart can run a bit. their dead and dont know it yet to drop. adrenaline, cut the spine and its paralized and dead from cutting the cord.
I am a bit floored by how many people believe the meet is left in the field, it is NOT legal to leave the meat behind in most countries. And Who the hell would put in so much work to leave the best food you can find to rotten in the field. Please educate yourselves before posting assumption's.
Alot of people dumb fuck bc it danm sure looked like they left it to me and just bc its illegal dont mean people dont do it i smoke weed and its illegal
great video. what kind of sidearm do you carry in case of a bad placed arrow and a suffering animal or even a charging bull? .44 mag? or a auto, like 10mm?
It's sad to hear them "talking" when you know they're about to die, but I understand hunting, my cousin is an avid Hunter with a reality TV show and it's just part of hunting. They definitely sure amazing creatures though.
Can anyone explain to me why he didn't shoot at around the 4:10 mark? I dont know much about hunting but it seemed like that was a good time to shoot? thanks!
Why so many dislikes.... Haterz can go and eat McDonalds. You know, the place where they jam 400 chickens into one cage, imobilize them so the wings stay soft, add colour, smell, and fry in the same oil for months... I'll stick with hunting
It's human nature to hunt! Nothing wrong with hunting animals, the only time when its wrong to hunt is when the animal ur hunting is endangered or when u just go on a rampage and keep killing anything that moves(aka hunting more than u need) pkus these guns kill the pray waaay faster than any other predator, way less painful to be hunted by human being than being eaten alive by hyenas or wild dogs
How do people carry back such large loads of meat? I don't hunt, and I am perplexed as to how people go to such remote places, and still manage to transport the harvested meat. Can anyone help me out here?
Cut it into pieces, strap in on your backs, and carry it out to a roadway in sections. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 trips back and forth. It's A LOT of work. You gotta work for your payload, son. This isn't no grocery store.
Wildlife is soo precious, the value of life is equal to all living things in the universe, we are not giving birth to those animals, we don't have the right to kill.
Sathi Satyanarayana listen here.. man has wiped out almost all animals in the us from their native ranges. If it wasn’t for conservationists and hunters such as Roosevelt, Leopold, hornaday, Boone and Crockett, Rocky Mountain elk foundation, wild sheep foundation, nwtf and countless others there would be NO wildlife, fish, and wildlands for us to enjoy. If it weren’t for hunters most animals would be gone and all their land would be developed. About 80% of money that’s for public land, wildlife research, habitat treatment, national forests, disease research, protecting rivers, making roads for access, and hundreds of other things, come from hunters and anglers. You should be very happy and thankful that we have people willing to pay to make a lot of this happen. Now as far as poaching I am totally against that, of course.. but I eat only wild game.. that’s how I feed my family and my money I spend for that pays for sooo many things. Humans have hunted for thousands of years and I’m thankful that I can still do it and will pass it on to my children as well as ethical hunting and fishing and how important conservation is.. I think you should seriously look into this stuff it’s pretty amazing
In so many other hunting videos you see the animal get hit and run away and collapse a few seconds later. What did organ did he hit here that the moose collapsed and died instantly?
I only saw racks being packed out, so I really hope that the meat was packed out as well. That would have been a great part of the story also, about how much work it was to get the meat out also. The way this was edited, it looked like the racks were the only things taken out.
Did this guy just killed that moose for its horns??? Really?? Just for the horns... Wow, and they called this a sport?? Did he at least took meat ??? Please someone explain this to me... cause I find it very very unnecessary...
Why you guys asking for the meat. Why you don't just read the story under this video.. for this hunt or it is too long for you to read a small article ?
how much do you think a week guided trip would cost? so hopefully when my mother in law dies i know what to do with some money she's gonna leave her daughter.
Incredible footage! Enjoyed the hunt. It even looks like you got some type of grouse. I bet that was tasty. Heck, it all looked tasty and fun ! Thanks for sharing. Good luck with your show!
hate it when people feel it's necessary to comment about hunting. Anyone that HUNTS and video tapes the HUNT isn't in it for the horns. Please don't watch HUNTING videos if you feel the need to suggest that these very rich people kill for the sport. No guide is gonna take these people to such great extremes to slaughter these perfect specimens and just let it rot. Don't watch!
Agreed. They also don't understand the physical and mental effort hunters put into some of these hunts in Alaska or Canada or any other rough terrain hunts. And being out in the rain and wind and being wet and cold. Not like they stay at a 5 star hotel and just walk a short ways into the wilderness and stick the animal quick.
Been spending 30 minutes everyday to find hunting videos, watch them and like them just to fight off those annoying dislikes on RUclips for 3 years now... Jesus Christ, what's the point of disliking every killing, hunting videos of those people? Hunting is now both a respected lifestyle and an enjoying hobby, we're not shooting at bizons from trains for mere sick fun like we did in the past anymore.
it is for sport, you're not fooling anyone. I for one will continue to voice my comments against hunting, in this world you have the right to kill these beautiful animals and take pride in it, but at least people like me have the right to tell you that what you are doing is wrong.
It's because it hit the spine, generally they will be able to run for a few seconds before they die of blood loss. At that point it is still alive, it's just paralyzed.
Never in a million years would I have the balls to pass on that first moose. Guess the hunter should have felt the same way having to settle for a smaller bull
the animal has to be butchered and the meat packed out so they went back for a 4 wheel vehicle as you dint go driving around in a vehicle and expect to find animals
Much respect guys. I will have no trouble carrying either a bow, a crossbow or a shotgun along with a knife, living like a caveman, surfing the net once a week to feed my family, rather than sitting at home sh*tposting people's works. They want organic meat, then they complain about hunters. They become vegan, eat plants, and they worry about global warming, not to mention how much forrest destroyed for farming.
What!!! The 1st moose looked bigger then the 2nd moose... The 1st moose looked wider yo and had few more points.... Must be fun using a bow aye looks fun to try
Handyhanks: The cost of a hunt like that is two ham sandwiches, a quart of coffee, a half tank of gas, and one bullet--if you live in the right neck of the woods and you're a good shot.
I am just amazed how different moose are from deer in terms of being spooked.. this moose did not care bout you being there.. a deer would have seen you flinch and be like o hell nah.. I'm out
No the moose thought he was a cow and he was looking to mate when in rut they drop they’re guard same with deer if you were to use a doe bleat during the rut with deer a dominant buck would come running and get ten yards away from you if he doesn’t smell you first
I hate meat eaters they eat the meat and throw away the head ! They throw away the hide and the fur and the feathers and do not use them at all ! Shame on you for wasting parts of the animals ! Next time you order a chicken sandwich make sure you get the feathers and the head and have it mounted on your wall so you have a continual reminder of what a piece of shit you really are for even daring to think hunters are doing anything wrong.
Is it just me or did the first moose they let go bigger then rhe one they shot?
For sure
you are so right
Idk but they could have let it go cause it was to close and could charge

Can’t believe with all that movement it didn’t take off I’m shocked actually
yea that seems a little odd to me
Moose have horrible eyesight
Moose is almost blind with out of a desire to fight an opponent during a rut
Some talented bowmen right here. Excellent shots.

In the description they say that they took all of the meat
I'm here after JRE, and i'm not even hunter. Amazing shot man
which JRE episode?

Cee Cee91
Cee Cee91 ask gordon ramsey to cook the moose maybe he make it better
Cee Cee91 marry me!
Nice vid
Please don't kill them I urge you all
Nice shot on the moose. Looks like a quick reload as well
I got my first moose a year ago and this season I'm going out again. My family loves to eat moose, my wife and son love it even more then me.
The 2nd bull looked significantly smaller than the first bull. Pretty cool video. 👍
Thanks 👍
Hunting such beautiful animals should be punishable & such hunting video should be posted either
It is wrong Our intellectuals and science emphasize the nature of nature and you are giving it a boost.
Cleanest shot I've seen in a long time, he went down under 5 seconds. Very well done my friend!
Derek Morrison that was a great shot
I don't get it, he was moving around so much and the bull or the caribou didnt even spook. All the movement that was placed during this hunt is unbelievable.
Love how silent the hunt is... and the video is beautifully shot.
music kinda makes me feel like an indiana jones film though
Great to see Bear bows being featured. Usually you see the Hoyt's and Mathews, even PSE getting love but it's great to see Bear get their recognition! Great bows. I shoot the Authority and I love it!
Matthew Watson it is a very underrated bow

Fantastic footage. Can't wait to see your show. Cheers RH
Thanks Rabbit Hunter!
That shot on the moose was absolutely amazing! Looks like you shot it with a 300 win Mag 😂
To the best of my knowledge, that was a spine shot. I'm very curious to know if that was intentional. Good hunters know the kill zones at the vitals for various animals, so, I'm just really wondering how this particular devastating shot was chosen: or was it a fluke. Great footage btw. Thanks!

If you read the description it explains.
A moose hunt is Definitely my top priority expedition to go on. Looks like such an amazing hunt! Great shots on both animals as well
Don't expect too much the first time, took me a long time to even see one.
Crazy shot...!!!! Beautiful country also..... Cheers
I'm thinking moose meat is tough, comparable to camel except of course if you cook it well. We don't have moose in East Africa but similar ones. Thanks for the video, I wish I can join you guys.
Watching a hunting vid, and wondering what the fishing would be like in that lake..... :)
Pike Pike and Pike :D
The three guides and two camp workers helped carry out all the meat. It was hung it in the meat house and then cut up, wrapped and split. We even gave some meat to the pilot.
The other 2 hunters took everything home to the NE USA in their trailer freeing units.
This was the only hunt and the only meat for the local people that year, who worked so hard at this outpost camp.
In Newfoundland you can not hunt moose every year and the meat is a HOT commodity - everyone everywhere, in moose country, loves moose meat!
What's the draw weight of that bow? Looked like a full body workout getting to full draw.
Eric Bethune I have a Bear bow also mine maxes out at 70lbs. I'm not sure what their draw weight is.
Probably 70 lbs as its big game. But am no hunter :p
I'd guess somewhere around 60-70lbs too.
great video keep up the amazing work
Thanks, will do!
Pretty outstanding shot. Must have spined that moose. What’s was that like ten yards or so ?
Man I thought that huge animal would think that arrow was a mosquito!! Straight took him out!! LOL!!
Why do people only watch this just to dislike it? Some of us like hunting. You can leave your thoughts to yourself.
Ionecca100 AJ
Most impressive shot on the moose. Extremely impressive. Bows are fun. I shoot small game with bow; very satisfying. I live in NL and hunt all over.
God bless all wild game on Gods green earth and Bless with wisdom, All hunters to hunt for food for there family.. May we cherish and love these beautiful wild game animals with all our hearts Amen.
Lol that moss looked like the best actor at playing dead iv ever seen🤣
wow watched this 2x back to back. Really nice hunts.
wayne blackburn
That was in instant drop. never seen anything that quick with a bow. kill footage looked unedited as well. impressive.
This instant drop was my only hope not to be smashed by the moose! See the part of the article on the top..

I agree that it is obvious but by looking at how all you see is him getting in with the antlers it looks like he left the meat there.
Varus no it's not he made one mistake
I dont think its ok to leave the meat behind but if a moose is that big and old the meat is gonna taste terrible
It's illegal to leave behind meat. More folks need to know about Wanton Waste laws.
Wow I was so excited when he dropped in his tracks, you don’t see that very often!
guess I'm a little late to say, but great shot! those animals are so huge, and you took it down with one Arrow, an instant drop! nice video!
It's sad to hear them "talking" when you know they're about to die, but I understand hunting, my cousin is an avid Hunter with a reality TV show and it's just part of hunting. They definitely sure amazing creatures though.

I like hunting video
Wow............A righteous shot Can't get that kind of rush sitting in a tree blind.
When you are on the ground, eye to eye with that moose everything can happen ..

Theo Ribanier we still eat meat...
These guys are mowing big game with precision...I've never hunted, but this is impressive.

Lol, but I did fast forward to the shot!

big difference between hunting and poaching. And I'm glad to see this great hunt!!

Didnt know larry king could bow hunt. Nice!
Mosse sounds likes it’s crying then death stares
My man here was face to face with an 1100 pound monster.. and walked towards it with only an arrow in his hand.

Yes, Archie got grouse with his bow and it was really tasty.
Holy smokes! Did that arrow go through the bird at 6:55 or brush it??? And do you guys use arrows cause it's quiet?
No I'd assume it's mostly for the more fun and challenging hunt. Compared to this, shooting one at 300yds with a rifle is super easy!

I think the problem was that they didn't show anyone carrying the meat out. And that can make it seem like they are just leaving it behind
It’s Antlers ppl.. not Horns..
I for one will continue to voice my comments against hunting, in this world you have the right to kill these beautiful animals and take pride in it, but at least people like me have the right to tell you that what you are doing is wrong.
shot couldn't have been more perfect
Ttgggh
Thats a real tank of a bull moose, his paddles alone are probs 45-50lbs.🤘😎
It looked enormous from 5 meters :)
Really nice and clean shot!!!!, have seen many other hunting videos where shots weren't set that clean and the animal suffers very long steps.
It's because it hit the spine, generally they will be able to run for a few seconds before they die of blood loss. At that point it is still alive, it's just paralyzed.
Beautiful, just watched this in 4 k big screen. Couldn't take my eyes off it for a second.
Reading the comments on here Saskatchewan is over populated with moose you wouldn't say the poor moose if you hit one at 70 mph
There legs get taken out first and they slam into your windshield. They suffer (huge) ticks, poor animals.
was that a spine shot?
I'm not totally against hunting, I hope the hunting is regulated though to preserve decent sized populations of these beautiful creatures
Hunting is regulated and because of this we still can see in the wild this majestic animals.
This animals are majestic.
They sure are they're even more majestic next to mashed potatoes and gravy
And thankfully plentiful
@@davidmattsson9192 How do they taste?
philip harvey they taste amazing

Very nice shot.. At least this guy was actually hunting and not sitting in a tree stand.
I hope you packed all the meat
The Legendary Moose.
Never in a million years would I have the balls to pass on that first moose. Guess the hunter should have felt the same way having to settle for a smaller bull
Hell of a hunt with a bow up close to an animal that could trample you in a heartbeat. You can't grill it till you kill it.
What’s with the music? I never hear a symphony orchestra when I’m in the bush lol
Lloyd Nielsen u didnt walk past the right bush🤦🏽♂️😂
From Indonesia I Like It
what a beautiful vid! just like bbc documentary
Nice shot
Такая красота!!! Какие Сохатые, рага какие. Красотень. Как же можно убивать, самому не жалко!!!
Я вообще не понимаю,как таких красавцев-великанов можно убивать.
Они вкусные!
How is an arrow so powerful like they’re bigger than a car and die with one stick
Gonel_Jm when there hit in the heart or lung the arrow head causes a lot of bleeding witch usually kill them quick
I swear if you guys didn't eat that prized meat you ain't a hunter 😔
Are you a pot smoker also ?
Are they hunting just for the antlers?
Not only. We took all the meat too.
3:13 He looks like he’s ready to charge you
ElkMan 56, the death stare
Is that from oblivion es4 xD?
they hunt it only for the horns or what they do with the meat
We use all of the meet . The game meet is the best , it is delicious and clean from chemicals.
Hey, what about the meat???
They obviously harvested it. It's illegal not to.
It was delicious!
Wild Ziaul that’s what u was gunna say
Wild Ziaul read the description
the animal has to be butchered and the meat packed out so they went back for a 4 wheel vehicle as you dint go driving around in a vehicle and expect to find animals
What a shot on that moose👀
No one cares what non hunters say do or eat! We hunters will continue to hunt, eat wild game and enjoy our sport of bow hunting .
I have yet to try humans, I think you will be the first one if I ever see you! I will enjoy my sport of bowl of hunters!
Good luck Susan.
Bob CaSteel they are beautiful and all hunters thank the animal for the meat like a moment of silence we are not evil
Yes, that's what's called ignorance.
What happens to the meat or do they just take trophy horns?
We took all of the meat.
Nice 👌.. the videos are awesome to view in 4k keep up the good work 👍 😀 👏
What!!! The 1st moose looked bigger then the 2nd moose... The 1st moose looked wider yo and had few more points.... Must be fun using a bow aye looks fun to try
The way the moose looked back at y’all 😂
What is a ball park figure for the cost of such a wonderful hunt ?
probably between 5 and 7 thousand all things considered
Handyhanks: The cost of a hunt like that is two ham sandwiches, a quart of coffee, a half tank of gas, and one bullet--if you live in the right neck of the woods and you're a good shot.
I just sit at the kitchen table and watch them outside. It's not much of a hunt but leaves more time for ice fishing
Alaska hunt is up to 20,000 bucks.
HOLY SHITTTT man, this animal is Amazing..
Yes it is amazing and also huge when you see it from 5 meters
@@THE_SAFARI_CHANNEL why kill it tho ?
Maximum impact shots good job boys👍🏽
I am just amazed how different moose are from deer in terms of being spooked.. this moose did not care bout you being there.. a deer would have seen you flinch and be like o hell nah.. I'm out
No the moose thought he was a cow and he was looking to mate when in rut they drop they’re guard same with deer if you were to use a doe bleat during the rut with deer a dominant buck would come running and get ten yards away from you if he doesn’t smell you first
I hate trophy hunters you kill the animal you take the meat too
Shoalie Niebauer who do you know that video tapes a hunt for the horns??
Shoalie Niebauer you do realize he took the meat right?
Schy Mark exactly! lol
your describing a criminal actualy buddy, its illegal to leave the meat...lol. well done to show you have no clue
The bull moose you shot looked smaller than the bull from the day prior. Great shot though. Maybe ease up on the draw weight some.
The bill would have spooked from the sound of the shot
