**Don't Click Read More If You Don't Wanna Hear Spoilers**
This ties into the story considering the fact that Purple Guy had been kidnapping kids and tricking them to *follow him*. Not only just that but also in FNaF 3 he tricked the animatronics into following him and you would see, "follow me" in the lower left corner of the screen. He then takes those animatronics to a room that the animatronics cannot get to.. then that's when the Purple Guy brutally destroys the animatronics. In the beginning of this song when it says, "He's been waiting abandoned and patient for so long" it ties into the fact that Springtrap is the Purpleguy considering their was a mini game for the FNaF 3 which shows after Purple Guy destroyed the animatronics, the spirits were able to corner him in the room they could not get into. Then, Purple Guy jumped into the Springtrap suit while it was raining and the exoskeleton snapped back in place impaling him.
