TTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WWWWWWWWWWWWWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ -Chelsea Rebecca, Dave Devries, James Janisse, and James Graessle favorite quote of all time
no matter how many times i've watched this and have the jokes memorized, i still end up crying too much to be able to discreetly watch this episode in the corner of my screen while i'm at work. literally every SINGLE time i've tried to watch this episode at work it's fucking everyone screaming "Jefferson Starship?!" and then the moment of realization that there are no subtitles.. and then i start sobbing when Dave points out that they "really committed to this non-language bit" like congratulations.. this is HILARIOUS
Yay, a comment on this one! Haha, with all the traffic we've been getting it seems like every other episode gets love except this Holiday Special, and it's one of our favorite episodes we've ever made.
Fun fact: The director of the Holiday Special insists that they sent George Lucas dailies and he approved them all. So, really, we should have seen the prequels coming. Also, Disembodied Hands is cuter than anticipated.
Not our holidays, i.e. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa. But since STAR WARS takes place "a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away," of course they wouldn't celebrate any of our earthly holidays. Instead, they celebrate Life Day, which is what they're doing at the end, once Chewbacca gets back home to his family.
I was expecting them to point out Bea Arrthur. I'd read about this special and that she made a guest appearance as the canteen owner, so I was anticipating her turn... but then, nothing. She was just called 'old.'I guess they don't know who she is. But in 1978, she was just fresh off her 6-season run of her hit TV sitcom MAUDE. She wouldn't do GOLDEN GIRLS till 7 years later, but it's the role most people identify her in.
+musicaltheatergeek79 I will say that she gives easily the best performance in this entire thing and is the only one who appears to give a shit. Which maybe isn't saying much but I REALLY APPRECIATED IT, BEA.
what was any of that?! you guys made it so entertaining though I couldn't stop laughing! and I felt like I could smell the cigarettes too, Chelsea. 8:27 was indubitably the best part 😂
You're actually incorrect, Deadpool is owned by Fox because Marvel sold the property to them when they were desperate for money in 1993, however Disney has recently purchased Fox so they own Deadpool now. Fun fact of the day.
This was the first Drunk Disney I ever watched, and now I'm sad to see it end. I wish Practical Folks the best in the future, and I will continue to support the other channels.
I remember watching this and barely being able to push through the 20+ minutes of subtitle-less Wookie dialogue, although the random cartoon with the dinosaur/whale creature who lived in the sea of Fanta with Boba Fett was pretty chill. Props to you guys for surviving the whole way through!
I think I would've been way more drunk than you guys were if I had to watch this... BUt I guess you've been building resistance over time :D I want to show this to all my friends so that we can watch this as well and start crying
Mike: (sagely) If you want to complain about how bad the Stars Wars Holiday Special is, you need to have watched it from beginning to end. If you have not, you have no right to complain about how bad it is. It's a rite of passage.😆
-Someone please make their voice-overs the offical script. -(At every commercial) Chelsea: "YAY!" xD Love her -This is the only way people should watch the Star Wars Holiday Special from now on. -Oh how I loved your reference/parody of School House Rock -I love James' extensive knowledge of Star Wars. -This is the trippiest movie... **hugs**
This is it... The last Drunk Disney I have left to watch and then I have finished all so far. I hope you guys continue doing what you are doing and you deserve as many subscribers as any of the big channels. I will be waiting for the next video and be extremely exited when it comes out. OK I should stop being so dramatic now, thanks for the all the laughs!
I’m so glad that other people are aware of this film. Every Christmas, my theatre club hosts a party and every year we watch this movie. Unfortunately I live on a dry campus so we have to watch it sober.
Okay I will say this there are two good parts of this special. The first is the Animated segment and the other is Bea Arthur as the bar maid and her song is good!
I died at "Dave! I know so much about Star Wars." lmao
You know I do
@@practicalfolks If The Star Wars Holiday Special was just beepthat would be one thing, but it consists of us watching other people watch beep😆
@@practicalfolks so you knew about Chewbacca's family?
6:30 lol 😂
Your reaction when the wiz appeared was PRICELESS
It was like all our references of it led to that moment
I must've watched this video a hundred times and it never gets any less funny. Love you guys!!
Practical Folks just don't be caught dead in red

@@practicalfolks wookiee's don't brush their hair or teeth and they don't bathe.
" I'm gonna pick a fight with this sentient bear!" Perfect just perfect 10/10 thank you
This is the most sporadic film and the easiest to make fun of I laughed so hard
It was awesome.
But... don't bears already feel, see, hear and all that stuff? I think he meant to say "sapient".
My aesthetic is James screaming BOBA FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETT

my mom watched this special live and i showed this to her, she almost cried from laughing so hard!
+Emma Kate was she a little girl then?
Props to whoever edits these, because I stop laughing, only to have something else crack me up. Editor, you're the underrated MVP.
Abilicious97 So James?
I was dying at the voiceover dialogue with the wookies

Rest In Peace Carrie Fisher.
Jesus christ carrie Fisher has been dead for 2 years feels like 2 months
hayley Marie whoa whoa yep
I like how it's a holiday special and it has absolutely nothing to do with the holidays lol
It was released on November 17th
I forgot to add that their Life Day was supposed to be the equivalent of our Christmas/Thanksgiving mixture.
Plus, it appears that Lumpy, the son, doesn't have homework to do, so we could take it to mean the school holidays.
You guyz should do a Drunk The Wiz since it was notably mentioned in almost every Drunk Disney episodes
"don't do it lumpy" "I hate the basket!"
This is without a doubt the best Drunk Disney so far! I can't stop laughing!!!!
Dave: Can this be our song
James: *eats Daves' his hand*
12:09 almost makes me wonder if there's someone watching me watching you watching wookies watch tv
if there is, you might want to change apartments... also you're out of milk xD
Yes,and that man is GOD
Sinful Umbreon no
Omega _Dragonis YES
Yes, the government
it was so much more entertaining to watch you watch this rather than having to endure what you did. thank you for your service.
Absolutely. We hope no one puts themselves through the process of actually watching this God-forsaken piece of garbage.
@@practicalfolks I actually watched the special, and I thought it was decent.
WOAH FULL BODIED HANDS!!!
plus James being way too hype for this the whole video XD
"Name one good song from the prequels"

Why was there not more freaking out over the fact that a freaking Golden Girl sang at the cantina. BEA ARTHUR, PEOPLE!

Honestly I cried laughing while watching this! The bit with the Wiz was as unexpected as it was fabulous
Dave and Chelsea doing an impression of Lumpy's introduction literally had me crying with laughter. its funnier the more times you replay it!

Okay, so James looks like Tom Hiddleston, Chelsea looks like Anne Hathaway and Dave looks like his name should be Brett.

+TotalSaxSap Thank you so much!!! It's always good hearing from our fans that our silly jokes and editing resonate with people :)

Ok Dave " Leia I barely know her. And Vader I barely know her." Made me laugh so hard.
What’s funny is that James is a so called “real fan”, but he doesn’t realize that the planet in this special isn’t Kashyyyk, but it is Kazook
