Saw them at least two times in Germany (Ruhrpott region) back in the "Good ol' days". I suppose one of the concerts did happen in "Zeche Bochum", the other maybe one year later happening in Oberhausen? Galliano is a legit part of my music socialization, although i heard Prince / Rick James, Earth, Wind & Fire etc before i found them!! They are just as smooth as butter when it comes to melt Music styles which we all like in style ... Funky, Jazzy, HipHop, Souly, Rockin', fuzzy, etc .. I expect you to come soon to at least of one of our many Ruhrpott cities. They are all nearby: Bochum, Essen, Dortmund, Oberhausen, Gelsenkirchen, Mülheim an der Ruhr ...) KEEP IT GOING GALLIANO!!!
I second all of that! Great to see them at Love Supreme and to get a chance to have a lengthy chat in the Rough Trade tent. I will pull my finger out and upload the footage I have from that day. Also great to learn how well Leila did in her career. And that Valeriee has the sling off. Hopefully manage to squeeze into Banquet Records in August...sending love Jen
Looking forward to this. Was front n centre at Eisenstadt (not Vienna as you kept insisting it be, Rob; those Austrians are decidedly fussy, if not downright parochial). Big ups to Val for powering through with the arm which is hopefully coming along nicely. Man that could've been a grander set but for some omissions (Roofing Tiles, Freefall, Slack Hands, Rise and Fall, Long Time Gone (I get it if Ski's not on TPT fare). Can't please em all, I suppose, but yeh, fab to see you lot coming together again in my lifetime. More power to you.
Watched you guys playing live back in the day with Constantine, Snaith, Uncle Big Man - I think before even the first album came out. Followed 2Bo4 and Earl Zinger but GREAT to see Galliano back! Love the visual on this vid BTW!
