Hello, I have a similar problem .and as you say,it is not repairable. Will an external relay break? Are there vulnerabilities that continue to be exploited in this way? Thank you
hi i have the same issue with my berlingo i know you can bridge the fuelpump to get it working but what is the solution? is the fault in the wiring loom; or is it the bsm internal relais that has failed because i replaced the bsm and still i have the same issue and i am getting pretty annoyed with this issue i heard it could be the ecu not sending neg signal to the relais but its a wikd guess i think
@@LMAutoRepairs i was watching your video and it was so helpfull. We did bridge no 10 fuse and it started imediately although i could not see how you connected the relay. I will appreciate it so much if you could guide me
Hi I would have to go back an see how I have done it... it was a long time ago... lol But, the external relay, if I recall correctly, was wired to power up when the ignition is turned on, and to feed that fuse... basically, externally replacing the damaged relay inside the BSM...
@@LMAutoRepairs Hi, can you please tell me which is the cable that comes from the ignition? In the video, only the one from the battery and the one from the fuse can be seen well. What are the other touch points? Anyway, thank you for the video, but at least a few pictures would have been helpful to see exactly where the attachment points of the new relay are.
Great video, I have the same problem with a Peugeot with a similar box. But I'm afraid that there is some kind of security risk in that connection. If the fuel line breaks, the control of that relay 2 is probably supposed to stop the fuel pump.
@@LMAutoRepairs I may be wrong, but as far as I understand, the control of the RL2 relay coil is done by a microcircuit with NPN logic and the positive side of the relay coil always gets voltage when RL1 pulls. With that fix, one of the conditions is bypassed. The negative side of relay RL2 is not accessible from the outside.
I get your point... What is the security risk? Both relays are on at all times with the ignition/engine on... I can't see any condition where relay 2 would be powered off with the first relay on... Unless I missed something... 👍👍👍
@@LMAutoRepairs I don't know what that microcircuit contains and if there is any software associated with it, but I would assume that that microcircuit cuts off the current from the pump when the ignition is connected and sufficient fuel pressure is reached, for example when the engine is not started or when it does not start. I would also assume that that control monitors the fuel pressure and cuts off the pump if it can be concluded from the pressure that there is a leak in the pipes. If that NPN control had no meaning, that connection would have been implemented much more simply. So I would think that the purpose of that is to prevent fueling a possible fire.
Yes, you might have a point... Would have to go a find out the strategy or functional description of the system to see if that is actually the case... Thank you for watching and for your comments! 👍👍👍
I have the codes p0201, p0202, p0203, p0264, p0204, p0205, p0256, p0354, p1341. on peugeot 407 3.0 gasoline. bsm L02-00. The gasoline pump is activated. but the engine won't start. Do you think that by doing this I can solve it? In the official peugeot service. They couldn't fix it.
do you have any solution about " esp abs system faulty " before every start with bip sound and red signal on near speed screen and esp button doesnt work ..
The solution is scan the car, check live data and figure out what the problem is... Something like that can be caused by many different things... I am not a wizard... Thank you for watching!

Hi, I have the exact same car in my workshop with the same faults. (Australia). The relay powers the injectors and the purge valve (reason for codes), and also the ignition coil (transformer coil at bottom of diagram), but also the fuel pump! Lots of loads on the one relay and only 2 fuses! Very poor design. Very easy to fix compared to security issues in later models.
My car has battery error and also fog light error . The generator actually makes 11.5 volts and it is new. It worked two weeks and when the weather is moist the deplution error also appeared with battery charging issues. Have you had the same problem!? Peugeot 407 coupe 2.7
@ alternator and many other parts are new along with battery. The permanent fog light error seems to spread to other areas and i believe it might be Bsm or the clockspring or light column switch!
@german_lifestyle_tajbakhsh7282 New doesn't always means good... The alternator should charge independent on that... Should... lol I would suggest to test and investigate before continuing with the parts cannon... 👍
@ actually this game was played exactly with previous alternator. It worked sporadically. After bsm and other suspect things then I should check for alternator wiring which is not my own job and needs a hydraulic lift
interesting. On a 05 C5 all 4 injectors show "injector low curcuit" , would the same procedia do the trick? Greatful for quick reply, the car is on it´s way to the salvage yard!
@@LMAutoRepairs Ok, We travel to London every year (not this year though) to celebrate the memory of Marc Bolan. Anyway, I got the car running! Thank You!
Hi, 4 days ago I bought a 2004 C3, everything seemed fine. Drove it home, then the next day it stalled and wouldn't start again. Its now showing the following codes: P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204 (Injector Control, all injectors) P0444 (Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve - short circuit) P0351, P0352 (Ignition coil 1-4 - short circuit) P0135 (Upstream oxygen sensor heating control) Think it could be something similar? Thanks
@@LMAutoRepairs So I've looked at the diagram for my car, its basically the same circuit as this C4, however instead of two separate fuses powered by the relay like the C4, all 4 components (injectors, ignition coil, purge cannister valve, x2 oxygen sensor heaters) are ran through one fuse. This single 30A fuse is fine. But the fuse doesn't show 12V with the ignition on. I tried your method of providing 12V directly from the battery, but sadly no luck starting the car. I haven't taken the fuseboard out yet. I wonder if the stored fault codes would prevent the car from starting, even if the issues have been "fixed"?
@zingrock Usually no... The codes if stored will allow the car to start... Perhaps is not just that fuse that should have voltage, Perhaps the internal relay should power other things as well...
Very good explanation and testing procedure could the faulty relay have been caused by the faulty connection you cleaned causing the contacts to over heat just a thought thanks
Raymond Ferguson Hi Indeed... it could have caused spikes that would have lead the relay to fail... it not... lol Mechanical relays can easily fail to fair... Thank you for watching and for your comment!
I have the problem in this video and have done the test with the 12v led to fuse 10 . So I have to put in an external relay. In your video you don't tell us what wires to cut, can you help please.

@@LMAutoRepairs yes its supposed to but my peugeot partner sticks in it, my mechanic siad she mixed up in signals between the alternator & BSI she,s not picking up on the fact she is charging, I which I could abolish that economy mode completely? Thanks for replying
There is a function on the scan tool to deactivate the economy mode... But I believe that if you have an issue with the charging system, that will not sort your problem... You need to get that issue resolved first...
Right, watch the video without skipping... Once you understand the principle of what I have done, you will easily understand how to connect the relay... I could have connect it in many different ways... 😉

Hello, I have a problem with my Citroen Evasion 2002 auto. When I try to start it, it cranks but the engine does not start. I found out that there's a problem with the ECU (TEXTON). A spare part for this is hard to find in Malaysia, so is there a way for me to bypass two electronic components (relay)? Or do you know of any other alternatives that I can try? Thank you very much
Ta. Tariku I didn't check the brand... but they are usually siemens, valeo or johnson controls... In this case, the relay that failed was a normal mechanical relay, not a SSR... Thank you for watching!
yeah thanks, i have seen johnson brand on a renault megane scenic -04 mk2 digital cluster when i was fixing it, that's normal i think all manufacturers use different brands, but johnson should be avoided like the plague since it's American brand/british, we know these two countries make poor quality products? italian Magneti marelli, and french valeo are much better. I have a similar problem .and as you say,it is not repairable. Will an external relay break? Are there vulnerabilities that continue to be exploited in this way? Thank you
An external relay might break, but can be easily replaced...
👍👍👍
@@LMAutoRepairs i mean ,will plugging into an external role harm the system? Thank you so much
@kenan7590
Not really... no harm...
Just make sure you use any circuit protection is necessary...
hi i have the same issue with my berlingo i know you can bridge the fuelpump to get it working but what is the solution? is the fault in the wiring loom; or is it the bsm internal relais that has failed because i replaced the bsm and still i have the same issue and i am getting pretty annoyed with this issue i heard it could be the ecu not sending neg signal to the relais but its a wikd guess i think
You need to test the wiring and the circuits...
It is impossible to guess, specially if already started replacing parts...

@@LMAutoRepairs i was watching your video and it was so helpfull. We did bridge no 10 fuse and it started imediately although i could not see how you connected the relay. I will appreciate it so much if you could guide me
Hi
I would have to go back an see how I have done it... it was a long time ago... lol
But, the external relay, if I recall correctly, was wired to power up when the ignition is turned on, and to feed that fuse... basically, externally replacing the damaged relay inside the BSM...
@timst11
I have explained and showed diagrams!
It is all in the video if you whatch it carefully...

Nice. You could also provide power to the additional relay from ignition switch (terminal 15).

Correct!...
Thank you for watching!
Great video, I have the same problem with a Peugeot with a similar box. But I'm afraid that there is some kind of security risk in that connection. If the fuel line breaks, the control of that relay 2 is probably supposed to stop the fuel pump.
The connection is the same as the original...
I have just replaced the internal relay with an external...
😉
👍👍👍

👍👍👍
Tell me if when this problem occurs, when you put the ignition on, does the fuel pump start, because it doesn't give any sign for me?
I don't remember know...
Sorry...

My car has battery error and also fog light error . The generator actually makes 11.5 volts and it is new. It worked two weeks and when the weather is moist the deplution error also appeared with battery charging issues. Have you had the same problem!? Peugeot 407 coupe 2.7
Either a bad alternator or something wrong in the charging circuit...
You need to investigate further...
👍👍👍
@ alternator and many other parts are new along with battery. The permanent fog light error seems to spread to other areas and i believe it might be Bsm or the clockspring or light column switch!
@german_lifestyle_tajbakhsh7282
New doesn't always means good...
The alternator should charge independent on that...
Should... lol
I would suggest to test and investigate before continuing with the parts cannon...
👍
@ actually this game was played exactly with previous alternator. It worked sporadically. After bsm and other suspect things then I should check for alternator wiring which is not my own job and needs a hydraulic lift
@ i ve already changed everything but the BSM
what if i conect direct to the batery with 12 volts external switch?
interesting. On a 05 C5 all 4 injectors show "injector low curcuit" , would the same procedia do the trick? Greatful for quick reply, the car is on it´s way to the salvage yard!

Hi, 4 days ago I bought a 2004 C3, everything seemed fine. Drove it home, then the next day it stalled and wouldn't start again.
Its now showing the following codes:
P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204 (Injector Control, all injectors)
P0444 (Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve - short circuit)
P0351, P0352 (Ignition coil 1-4 - short circuit)
P0135 (Upstream oxygen sensor heating control)
Think it could be something similar? Thanks
Indeed it could...
Check the basics first though... fuses, connections etc...
👍👍👍
@@LMAutoRepairs
So I've looked at the diagram for my car, its basically the same circuit as this C4, however instead of two separate fuses powered by the relay like the C4, all 4 components (injectors, ignition coil, purge cannister valve, x2 oxygen sensor heaters) are ran through one fuse.
@zingrock
Usually no...
The codes if stored will allow the car to start...
Perhaps is not just that fuse that should have voltage, Perhaps the internal relay should power other things as well...
Im seated with that and i just cannot see how you connected your relay there

I didn't check the brand... but they are usually siemens, valeo or johnson controls...
In this case, the relay that failed was a normal mechanical relay, not a SSR...

yeah thanks, i have seen johnson brand on a renault megane scenic -04 mk2 digital cluster when i was fixing it, that's normal i think all manufacturers use different brands, but johnson should be avoided like the plague since it's American brand/british, we know these two countries make poor quality products? italian Magneti marelli, and french valeo are much better.
